“Great location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 16, 2013

Great location and a great place to stay. Swans sailing past the cabin window in the morning was a great start to the day! Buffet breakfast was nice. Cabins were a good size, with ensuite bathroom. Great view of the river from the cabin.

Room Tip: Cabins facing the river have a great view.

We had a fantastic stay from start to finish. We used airport collection service, which worked wonderfully as our flight was delayed by a couple of hours, but our smiling, happy driver was ready & waiting for us. The Botel is very comfortable, rooms/cabins are as you would expect on board a boat (compact & bijou!), public areas were beautiful and all staff were very helpful & friendly. Would definitely recommend a visit

I had already stayed in the botel once in 2009 and now was there for a second time.I noticed that the reception and restaurant interiors had improved since 2009. I like this hotel as it is not overpriced and makes you feel you are on a river cruise down the Vlatva. Recommended to the ones who like ships and vessels themes and not recommended to the ones, who like spacious rooms, as the ordinary cabins are quite tiny. The thematic restaurant is good, but tends to be slightly overpriced for a location a little out of the historic center. I undestood the main restaurant guests are the guests of the Botel, there are not many people from the street.

Though overall impression is very good, the Botel is recommended for a short stay, as after several days the feeling that you are on a river cruise will definetely disappear and the small room (cabin) will start looking boring as well as the walk to the historical center and back.

Room Tip: the one facing the river

Stumbled across this on the way to the staropramen brewery (closeby) and stopped for lunch. Don't be fooled by its gaudy exterior, the terrace was a lovely place to eat, drink, relax and enjoy views along the river. Our food was delicious (we both had the handmade burgers) and the staff were courtious and spoke good english. Better than expected by all accounts!

Here I am trying to sleep while listening to raucous music from disco boats and cheering fans watching football. I'd close the window but it's way too hot and there are no fans and certainly no A/C.
Other than that, it's a cute idea and a decent place. It's within reason, 20 minutes or so walking and tram to the main square; 10 minute walk to closest Metro.
We haven't yet had the included breakfast but did have a late lunch that was very nice, if very slow.

We were in this hotel one full week. From the hotel we could very easily go to the city center by foot or with the tramway.
The room was clean, small with enough comfort and charm. Small negative point, the curtains were not fully dark, so that the sun woke us up nicely early in the morning. As this hotel is on the river, there will be as well the sounds from the streets and party boats. But this did not disturbed us. All the staff was really very proactive and friendly. They really helped us. If you go there, do not hesitate to ask them (what exhibition, place to see, taxi booking, breakfast to take away etc)
The breakfast is okay. The restaurant on the deck has a good view and its food is very good. But the prices are for tourists, meaning higher.
At the end i can only recommend warmly this hotel if you want to visit Prague.

Pros:
Hotel in the river, close to new town, nice view, clean, friendly staff, good breakfast, had nice and cheap offers for city tours

Cons:
Noisy club we couldn't sleep after a long tour in the city, no shampoo, safe is not included in the room rent, no mini-bar
