“A wonderful little hotel in Prague”
Reviewed July 11, 2012

I have stayed at the Anna 3 times now and really enjoyed it each time. It is a cosy, comfortable hotel reasonably priced. It is convenient to the tram, 5 minutes from the metro and just down the street from a great restaurant U Bulino (which we found on trip advisor). There is a laundramat around the corner. But it is the staff that make it really great. On our last trip as we were leaving the taxi they ordered to take us to the airport shuttle was delayed so they arranged with the taxi company to have us driven to the airport free of charge. Now that is the kind of service that I appreciate.

Check in check out - I arrived early and they let me check in. On my last day, I stored my luggage in a locked room from the check out to the moment I had to leave for the airport.

Room and amenities - I had a twin room that was so pretty, clean and comfortable. Although I had two issues during my week stay. One, it was very noisy in the corridor in the morning, but I could manage with earplug. Two, on the 5th day, I had ants in the bathroom, a problem that was taking care of as soon as I told the front desk. The complimentary breakfast in the morning was a good starter (coffee, juice, cold meat, cheese, bread). I had a WIFI signal in my room on the second floor. The Internet room in the basement is also a plus. A small fridge in the room would be a nice addition.

Staff - Staff are making this hotel amazing (they are the reason of giving the fourth star in this review). They called the airline for me in order to find my lost luggage. They confirm with the airport transfer company for us. They change my room immediately when I had ants in the bathroom. They are doing a great job there.

Location - Location is exactly what I was looking for. Away from the touristic crowd, but sightseeing are easily accessible thru the subway (7 minutes walk) or the tram (5 minutes walk) or a good walk (30 minutes). The advantage, it is closer to local pub and restaurant to get a real vibe of Prague.

Found this after much searching on the web and it is a nice little hotel. Very well placed - 5 mins from metro or tram and so about 15 to centre of Prague. Don't worry about location in Prague, though as the transport is superb (about £3 for unlimited transport for 24 hours). Room was good and breakfast was OK. Price was great.

The Hotel Anna is excellent value. Spotlessly clean, bright, cheerful, comfortable, quiet. Reception staff are friendly and helpful; they speak multiple languages and provided helpful information about both tourist sites and the local Vinohrady neighborhood. Lovely glassed-in breakfast area with ample breakfast selections.
We stayed twice at the Anna: once on our arrival in Prague, and again just before departing. Our first room was a roomy double. Our second room was a rather small double. But both were pleasantly decorated and well-serviced (fresh towels every day).
The hotel’s location in Vinohrady worked very well for us. It was a chance to explore a residential area with inexpensive local restaurants and bars; a welcome change from the tourist scene. Also, the Hotel Anna is conveniently connected to the airport and tourist sites via public transport, which saved us the cost of taxi rides. From the airport, get your transportation tickets at the Prague Transport Information kiosk, then take bus 119 [be sure to validate your ticket] to the terminus of metro line A at Dejvicka. It’s an easy route even when jet-lagged because bus 119 ends at Dejvicka, and Metro line A begins at Dejvicka; also, it’s a popular route for folks coming from the airport, so just follow the other folks with suitcases. At Dejvicka, get on the metro and head the only way the metro goes from this stop, which is towards town. Get off at Namesti Miru and walk 3-4 blocks to the Hotel Anna. Getting from the Hotel Anna to the main tourist sites is a snap: walk about a block to catch tram #22, which goes by the main tourist areas; or use the metro to get to the tourist sites.
I’d happily stay at the Hotel Anna again.

Room Tip: Both our rooms were on the courtyard; we enjoyed the happy chirping of birds. Room 405 was a good-s...

This is a good hotel. It is abit out of the way in the suberbs however this is where the bargain restaurants and bars are. Still, its only a taxi ride away from the heart of Prague. A good selection of local bars and restaurant's to try. I reccomend this hotel.

Anna Hotel is just what you hope for in a mid-level budget tourist hotel -- clean, safe, convenient, comfortable, and affordable. Situated in Prague's residential Vinohrady neighborhood, it is also well- located -- a block and a half from the #22 line tram that takes you straight to downtown and Old Town, a 5 minute walk from the A metro line, a 10-minute walk from Wenceslas Square, and about a 20-minute to 40-minute walk from anywhere else in town you may wish to go on foot.

Rooms are small and spartan, but comfortable with excellent modern private bathrooms. The morning breakfast (included) is ample, and front desk staff are very helpful and nice. The house wi-fi signal is fair, if not strong, but adequate. Luxury? No. Our room's AC was barely worthy of the name, the elevator only holds two people and and a suitcase at one time, and one day the water was out due to a broken pipe (that was repaired by day's end). Basic comfort and a dose of charm? Absolutely. Comfy bed, neat and pleasant decor.

And on the money we saved staying here, we had that much more of a ball in Prague. We would stay here again at the drop of a hat.
