This hotel was absolutely lovely. After reading other reviewers' stories about booking in a nice hotel and then being switched to a not-so-nice hotel upon arrival to Prague, I was a bit nervous about our stay. When we arrived at the Alchymist, the woman working at the front desk informed us that the room type we had booked was unavailable, however this hotel's solution was to upgrade our room type to a suite! The front desk was also very helpful in suggesting restaurants in the area and directions to different areas of the city.

The room was beautiful, spacious, clean. Had AC and free internet. The bathroom was enormous and lovely as well. There was also an in-room safe, which was a pleasant surprise.

The hotel itself was beautiful and very carefully maintained. The location was perfect: a 1 block walk to the tram station. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone traveling to Prague. We could have gotten a cheaper room at another hotel, but this was worth every penny, esp. for the AC, which is hard to come by in Prague and definitely a bonus during a summer vacation stay.

We found Residence Nosticova absolutely enchanting, due to its position in Prague ( 5 minutes walk to Malestranska Nemesti - Karluv most ), its charming environment, its astonishing Gothic room Vaclav IV in which, just to say, we could look to ourselves everyday in the bathroom's furnishing... We advice it to everyone who wants an extremely romantic and relaxing vacation in Prague !

My wife and I stayed at the Alchemyst for 6 nights (3 - 9 August) having found the hotel on Trip Advisor. It is a magnificent example of luxury and oppulence. The room was great, the staff excellent, the breakfasts wonderful. Enjoy the frre wine and cheese tasting every afternoon at 5pm - 6pm. We had a one hour massage in the spa, again wonderful and very professional staff. As we said "Wow" and chocolates on the pillow every night.

We were only going to spend one night at the hotel but we loved it and the town so much we cancelled our reservations in another town to stay another day. We stayed in a junior suite and the rooms were a very good size, especially for a european hotel. It's a beautiful place inside and out and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed the complimentary bottle of wine. Breakfast was included and it was delicious and very filling. I highly recommend this hotel. It's located 5 minutes from the Charles Bridge and it's in a very quiet and pretty part of town.

We book our rooms few months ago so we get a good discount .I arrive 2 days after my girlfriend and i was thinking for an upgrade , i was suprised when i realize that we get the upgrade as coplimentary. The young staff are superbly trained so they smile all the time with friendliness, charm and the confidence to help you in every way.The rooms decoration is a Magical and romantic far away from much more expensive hotels(extremely clean too). The location is excellent in a quite street , within walking distance of everything. If you visit Prague this hotel is a must.
