“Really lives up to the reviews”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 16, 2013

What makes this hotel such a good choice is its location , the Mala Strana is by far the nicest part of central Prague, but also the efficiency and pleasantness of all the staff. We had a room on the top floor of the depandance, which meant that we had a flight of stairs to negotiate (not a problem for us). The room was a good size and furnished nicely;more like a home than a hotel room. Although there is not really a view out as the roof windows are high and the hotel is tucked in amongst a jumble of buildings, this was more than made up for by the lovely little extras provided everyday and the excellent breakfast.
These people really work so hard to help you have an enjoyable stay with them.

I loved staying at the Pod Vezy. My room was in the Dependence building, and I found the room to be a good size, attractively furnished and very clean with a bed so comfortable that I didn't want to get out of it in the morning. The bathroom and shower were very nice and had everything that I needed. The hotel is well located and easy to find. The staff is very helpful and address any questions or requests right away. The hotel has two restaurants, both of which have wonderful food. The staff arranged for a car and driver to pick me up at the airport, and it was reliable and worth every penny. Each building has a computer for the use of the guests, which was a big help to me since I didn't have my own internet access. I can't say enough good things about this hotel.

We decided to stay at this hotel in September after reading the many great reviews on Trip Advisor. What can you add apart from agreeing that the staff are wonderful and put themselves out to be helpful, approachable and informative. They definitely go the extra mile and make you feel very welcome. The little gifts left in your room each day is a fantastic touch and the situation of the hotel at the end of Charles bridge is brilliant for getting around the city. We stayed in the Dependence building which had a lot of old features including massively high ceilings and beams. The room was large and comfortable. For me the only down side was that the hot food at breakfast was usually only tepid, but the variety of hot and cold was good and it changed daily. We would certainly come back to Prague and definitely stay at this fabulous hotel again.

We stayed 5 nights at Hotel Pod Vezi. The location just next to, within steps of, the Charles Bridge. It provides easy access to the old town across the bridge or a short block to the tram. You could even walk uphill a few blocks to Castle Hill. All the staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Phillip went out of his way to assist in the smallest request. The rooms were large and clean. Toiletries were upscale and generous. It was lovely to return each night to find they had provided something special such as cookies, fruit or champagne. The breakfast was ample. Four of us ate at their restaurant one night which was particularly crowded. While the service was slow, the food was great. We had the best flambe'd crepe with an orange, carmel Cointreau sauce so don't forget dessert. I agree with a previous reviewer that it was the best hotel of our trip.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher room toward the back. Our room was just over the street and can be noisy. We were...

My husband and I stayed here for four nights. The staff were very friendly and helpful. All able to speak English. Breakfast was excellent. We stayed in the main hotel in room 131 which overlooked the front courtyard and end of Charles Bridge. Room was large and decor charming. Modern bathroom. And a treat was waiting for us in our room at the end of each day. All in all a thoroughly memorable experience.

My Wife and I have just returned from a month travelling around Europe. We made our last European stop the Hotel Pod Vezi in Prague. We both agreed it was our best hotel stay of the trip. The location of the Hotel is at the end of the famous Charles Bridge over the river from the main city, and couldn't have been more perfect for exploring all aspects of this beautiful city. The Staff were top notch and very knowledgable, giving generously of their time and advice to ensure we got to see the best sites at the best prices. Nothing seemed too much trouble. The other delight for us was the great facilities, with very comfortable and spacious rooms and great WIFI. The breakfasts had a good variety of European and typical American foods. A lovely touch was the little gifts they left for or brought to us every couple of days...some chocolates; a nice little bottle of Champaign, some delicious tarts etc etc. We were there for 6 nights and were sorry to say goodbye.

Room Tip: We loved our room in the newly renovated and detached part of the Hotel above the crepe Cafe. (Deli...

If you're looking for a perfect stay in Prague, just go to Pod Vezi. The location is great, the hosts are absolutely great people : Outstandingly friendly, available, helpful and patient (we had many inquiries). Their attitude is genuine and you feel like you're at home. The 2 gentlemen and the lady at the reception are providing you with great tips and advices to ensure your stay is pleasant. The lobby is very comfy with computer (high speed-efficient) and easy wi-fi access for electronic devices. We had free entrance tickets to the Charles Tower where you can see the city. The breakfast is very good with fresh orange juice and everyday you can experience new dishes. The room located in the dependence was charming and very clean and we got chocolates when we arrived and fruit platter on the next day. The cleaning personal is also very discrete and cautious. The hotel fully deserve their Excellence Award. I am looking forward to coming back again!

Room Tip: Ensure that the room is not next to the bathroom of the other guest room. It may happen that the sou...
