We arrived in Prague on September 15th from Berlin by train. The hotel had arranged a pick up for us and the driver met us just where the hotel said he would be, holding a sign with our name on it. The driver was very friendly and helped us with our luggage.Nice start to our visit to Prague. When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by a very nice young man. He told us all about the hotel amenities and offered help arranging tours. We were pleasantly surprised when we entered our room. The room (123) was much larger then I expected. It also had A/C and a fan.Being so close to the crowds at the Charles Bridge I was a little concerned about noise, but our room was over the front door of the hotel and back off the street enough that with the windows closed it was qiuet.During our stay the staff were very helpful making resturant reservations and using google to find places that were not on the tourist maps we had.Go up and check out the roof top terrace ,it is a nice place to have a coffee or a glass of wine .(all new furniture in September) The breakfast is one the best I've had in Europe.Scrambled eggs one day , fried eggs another day, boiled eggs every day.sausages ,hot mixed vegatables sometimes bacon ,fresh fruit, pasteries.cereal, yogart.cold meats and cheese, cold vegatables, bread, buns. You can squeeze your own fresh orange juice. You can get regular coffee from the buffet but the waiters will ask if you would like a different kind which they will bring to the table for you .If the main room gets full, there is another lovely room just down a short hall. The waiters will also be in that room to make sure you are taken care of.Some of the people you may see later at the front desk will be in the breakfast room helping out. Chocolates one day, cookies another and fruit the last day were left in our room as a treat. The building is five hundred years old and they have done a great job of remodeling the intierior to make it a pleasant place to stay. The Reastaurant Pod Vezi is located in the hotel. We had a wonderful meal there (seperate review comming ). The location is great .Easy to walk to all the main sites. The walk up to the casle may be hard for some ,so take a trolley. If your in decent shape walk up and take in the sites.on the way up.The management of this hotel have done such a good job in selecting their employees. Everyone of them that we came in contact with truly wanted to do their very best to make our stay at Hotel Pod Vezi the best it possibly could be and to them we thank them very much. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel taxi was waiting for us upon our arrival at the airport. After a 26 hr. travel time we had a very warm wellcome by the hotel staff. The room was perfectly clean. Breakfast hours were convenient, and the breakfast itself contained a variety of abundant food. The hotel staff was always helpful. Overall, a great stay in Prague.

My wife and I stayed there for our honeymoon, and could not have been more pleased. The staff was very friendly, arranging taxis, tours, and answering questions for us. The room was nice: We were given a triple, even though we booked a double, in the new "Green" building. Everything was very nicely appointed.

The tub and shower were a bit odd only in that they are very European: No enclosed shower, but a tub with a shower wand.

The location of this hotel is REALLY REALLY nice: Literally just at the west side of the Charles Bridge. The hotel also has an outdoor rooftop deck on the main building, which was fun to relax on after dinner. Speaking of after dinner, the hotel kindly left treats (champagne, cookies, fruit, etc.) in our room every evening, which was nice and made for a fun guessing game of "What treat will we have tonight?"

I cannot recommend this hotel strongly enough.

Room Tip: New "Green Building" is preferable.

Perhaps the most significant thing about this hotel is it's location. Positioned at the entrance of The Charles Bridge, one can be out and about and easily pop back to the room for a quick rest. Prague is a great walking city, so bring comfortable shoes. Upon arrival, we were picked up at the airport perfectly and at a good rate. We were a bit early, so Eva showed us to the breakfast room and offered breakfast which was very nice. We did get into our room early and were very happy with the size of the room, huge with high ceilings and another adjoining room with 4-5 massive windows. Really fun to look out at all the action happening on the street. Sidenote: Great location - easy access. Great location - noisy at night. Eva offered us crepes/coffee at their Crepe Restaurant adjoining which was a realy treat, be sure and try it. There were nice little snacks in the room every day - cookies/candy/Champagne/fruit. A lovely touch. The hotel is steps away to a restaurant called 'Lokal' which seems to be the happening place for locals. Fresh ingredients cooked to order served in a cool cellar downstairs. It's another choice if you are tired and want to stay close to the hotel. Everything went very smoothly and we felt well cared for! Staff was excellent and friendly!

Great Hotel.A stones throw from the Charles bridge.Central for everything by foot except the Castle, but you are only a few minutes from the tram, which is a must as it really is a good walk away. The staff could not have been nicer. We had a mix up with the taxi which did not turn up on our arrival and they could not apologise enough.Every day we had some small gift left in our room, from chocolates, fruit, biscuits or wine. This was an extra touch and very thoughtfull.
Our room was immaculate clean and a good size. The breakfasts were good, cereal, cakes, pastries, boiled eggs, bacon, sausage, scrambles eggs, cold meats, cheese, juice, fruit, tea, coffee etc etc.could not fault this Hotel in anyway, among the nicest people I have ever met.Really enjoyed my stay. You can walk everywhere so we didn't need to book any tours as I have previously stated. My husband would have liked to book the concentration camp but after visiting the Jewish quarter I didn't want anymore sadness.Take a really good and comfortable pair of walking shoes as you are on your feet all day.Enjoy.

Room Tip: We had no 21 and you could almost touch the bridge but all the rooms were good and quiet.

Hotel is in a very nice location. Most important attractions in the old city can be accessed by a walk. Staff is very hospitable. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was good.
I plan to visit Prague and stay at Hotel Pod Vezi again.

Just back from short break in Pod Vezi Dependance building. Great location at foot of KIng Charles Bridge, the newly opened dependance is a very shortwalk across a cobbled square from the main hotel where breakfast is served.
Room was very large plenty of space for a family of 3 including a cot and very clean. Breakfast was plentiful and replenished frequently. All staff were friendly and gave our 3 yr old son some presents eg colouring books/teddies/chocolate which we've never had anywhere else we have stayed. Main Hotel also has a small roof terrace which is lovely to sit out in and relax.
Hotel has a few restaurants in same square and also a nice pub named Lokal serving cheap Czech beer.
Recommend taxi pickup service from the airport as makes for a convenient start to your holiday.
