This place is in an amazing location on the 'other side' of Charles Bridge. It's about a 5-10 minute walk to the bridge through a beautiful park and cobbled streets in a really pretty part of Prague. It is away from the crazy tourist hoards that are typical of the old city centre.

The hostel is also pretty basic. I found it clean (but it was really quiet when I was there) and tidy but it does feel a bit like a monastery in that there are absolutely no extra touches. It was dirt cheap however (I think I paid 11euros for a dorm bed) so can't complain.

All in all I would recommend this place on location alone but just be aware it is very spartan.

We stayed here for one night only during a backpacking trip. We absolutely loved Prague and I think the location of this hostel is part of the reason for this. It's in Mala Strana, the nicest - in my opinion - part of Prague. It's just over the river from the old town and it's where all the embassies are situated so it's quiet at night and full of nice little bars and taverns. We paid 35 euros for a double room which was tiny but in most places in Prague you wouldn't get a filthy room way out of town for less than 50 euros. Sure the bathrooms needed cleaning and the kitchen was a bit messy but if you just want somewhere to rest your head it's not so bad. You get what you pay for really and this place was a bargain although VERY basic.
