Stayed here for 3 nights in December. Was given a glass of prosecco on arriving. Breakfast was delicious. 5 minute walk from Charles Bridge and lots of bars and restaurants nearby. Felt save walking to and from the hotel in the evening. Roms clean, spacious and modern. Would definitely recommend to anyone travelling to Prague

We have just returned from staying at the Hotel Waldstein for 3 night - 2 adults + 2 teenagers. What a fantastic & authentic hotel - really modern in its refurbishment while retaining lovely original features , clean & welcoming. We had a family room with 2 double bedrooms which was perfect for us. The buffet breakfast included was a perfect start to the day and offered a really varied selection of fresh hot & cold food & drink in the unusual basement dining area Welcome bottle of (decent) wine in room which was a nice gesture. The location of this hotel is just perfect in the Mala Strana area below the castle where there are lots of great restaurants and bars but still only 5 mins walk from Charles Bridge across which is the Old town. We were also able to leave our cases until 8pm transfer for a late return flight. The only slight frustration was the noise of people on the wooden stairs which lead to all rooms - if they’re up early then you’re woken up too, but other than that a fantastic hotel choice!

It's no surprise to me after staying at Hotel Waldstein that it has ZERO negative reviews as it ticks all the boxes you look for in a hotel.

Staff: the front staff were all very friendly, welcoming and spoke great english. We had arrived too early for our room to be ready but they kindly took our suitcase to store so we could look around the city until it was ready.

Rooms: the room we had was very spacious, modern and well cleaned. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever stayed on and the pillows were great. We had a large shower and under floor heating which was really nice. You do get tea and coffee free of charge with the room and there is also a mini bar if you need a drink (for a cost ofcourse).

Main reason for 5* in addition to the above is the hotels location, its just a 5 or so minute walk from charles bridge and saint nicholas cathedral which is also close to a major travel hub for trams and buses if needed. It's also a short vertical walk to prague castle too, you really couldn't ask for a better location.

All in all we were very happy with our stay and we would HIGHLY recommend staying here when visiting Prague.

There are actually 2 sister hotels side by side and we stayed at the smaller one with only 19 rooms and a deemed historical site. Quaint boutique hotel with renovated interiors but with limited service as reception is only open 7am-7pm and no room service. However, you can walk next door for 24 hour reception and assistance. Breakfast was impressive given the size of the hotel but no F&B available other than breakfast. Good location as close to many attractions if you don't mind the walk since many sites are on the other side of the river except for the castle.

Room tip: Not many rooms to choose - a bit noisy as our windows faced the front of the hotel where cars parked and drivers conversed.

We stayed 4 nights at the Hotel Waldstein while visiting Prague.
The Hotel is very adequately located in the district of Mala Stana. Steps away from St Nicholas Church and the Lesser town Tower of the Charles Bridges.
All Prague old town is literally within 25 minutes walking between the Prague Castle and the Powder Tower.
Plenty of restaurants around, shops and souvenirs shops.
The Hotel itself is excellent.
Small, very few rooms in an elegant building that is now classified as monument.
The staff is friendly and very helping in guiding through the city and booking tours and events.
The room are only accessible by stairs. No elevator to the first floor.
The room is spacious and comfortable with a vault ceiling.
The bathroom is modern and has all confort.
Breakfast is served in the basement vault. Very nice setting. The serving is complete for a good breakfast.
A place to recommend highly
