Clean and nice hotel with good thick walls to keep one cool from the Summer heat. Easy walking distance to centre and right side of town for airport connections.

This a hotel when you priorities are breakfast, good location, cleans rooms where to sleep. We were so happy to pick this Hotel because took us short walks to every place, travel by subways and trams with out problems. Left in the morning come back in the afternoon to take a nap for and hour and go back to our tours! We find what we need in every corner. Wi-Fi excellent connection!

This hotel is very central. Its located next to the Senate of Czech Republic so the area is pretty safe, its guarded with police nearly all the time. So parking your car (extra fee you can pay at hotel) is safe here.

Its a nice 10-15 minute walk to Old Town in Prague, which is the place where most things happen.

The room we had was very big. The hotel is old, so just go with it.

I booked this hotel based on recommendations on tripadvisor and frankly, this was the first time I was really disappointed. I am not sure where all the positive reviews come from. The hotel is definitely not cheap but it did look like a good price for a 4 star place. Unfortunately, it definitely was not a 4 star experience.
The only good thing I can say about this hotel is that it is indeed in a very good location with all sites just an easy walking distance from the hotel. Also the staff is nice and friendly: we were leaving very early and since breakfast was included into room price they offered to make a breakfast package for us.
We had room on the ground floor and it was not the best: it was narrow, damp and cold. The windows were overlooking the courtyard which means that we heard every hotel resident coming back home. The courtyard is also used by residents as a smoking room and smoke was going straight into our room. During the night, the bright light from the night lights in the courtyard was shining directly into our window and the curtains were way too thin to stop our room from being brightly lit up during the night.
Breakfast room is indeed unique: it is in the cellar and looks very old and great. However, breakfast is extremely basic: some runny scrambled eggs, some cold cuts, cheese and bread. So if you can, do not book breakfast with your room.
Bathroom was alright: towels are only replaced if you leave them on the floor and hotel provides only shower gel that works as shampoo as well and liquid hand soap. They seem to smell and look exactly the same and come in big containers screwed up to the bathroom walls. Hairdryer is provided. Do bring your own body lotion if you need it.
If you do decide to book this hotel, do keep in mind that it is definitely not 4 star and does not have all the usual 4 star hotel amenities.

Room Tip: avoid the rooms on the first floor and the ones that are overlooking the courtyard. ask for a room o...

Excellent location - just a short stroll from the Charles Bridge but in a lovely, quiet street. The Waldstein is a beautiful old building with rooms arranged around a central courtyard. Our rooms had been upgraded to deluxe suites - 2 bedrooms, bathroom, and in one a small kitchen area. This is the only hotel I have been to where the reality is better than the online pictures! Usually hotel rooms are a bit of a disappointment but if you like old world charm this place is great. The breakfast was good too. Out of reception hours the hotel is run by the Three Storks Hotel just around the corner where the staff were all very helpful.
