We were allocated to this hotel for our Jet2.com minibreak on our first visit to Prague. The hotel is clean and comfortable, the staff are very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast is basic continental but you can eat as much or as little as you want. The hotel is around 10 minutes walk from Wenceslas Square, about 20 minutes from the Old Town Square, a further 10 minutes to Charles Bridge.

We will revisit Prague before long probably using Easijet and booking the same hotel again. Until you know Prague better you are best pre-booking airport transfers.

The only problem we found in Prague was that creidit cards are not always accepted when you would expect them to be accepted. The local exchange bureaux vary from bad to good,; if they don't match the displayed rate walk away. Restaurants accepting €'s tend to give you a poor rate.

Room Tip: Ask for a smoke free room away from the main road. They do not provide kettles but let you use your...

We have just come home from a three day stay at st George,we were in room 001 on the ground floor, the room was spacious and very clean but very very hot at night,we couldn't open the windows as the noise from the very busy road was very loud, wouldn't put me of going back though, don't think the mini bar worked as everything was warm, the fitness room was great after a long day walking, location was perfect,10minutes walk to the centre, staff were very friendly,we would definitely use this hotel again,

We stayed at the St George on the 7-10th October 13.
When we arrived we found that one of the staff spoke perfect English whilst the others was just acceptable.
The room was adequate - clean and spacious however the air conditioning did sometimes tend to get a little chilly and it was difficult to change the temp.
The Sauna and fitness room was fantastic - the Jacuzzi a perfect way to relax and you were granted the whole room to yourselves however to use the facilities you had to pre-book a time slot which could be restraining.
The food wasn't so good. The selection wasnt very vast and there were never any normal tea bags available. Eggs where sloppy and no label were out to suggest what food was what.
The location was very good however just a minutes walk from the metro with links around the city.
Great for mini breaks.

Room Tip: State when booking if you want a smoking or non smoking.

Booked this hotel and read mixed reviews on tripadvisor....no need to worry at all though! Room 107 was large and airy with great floor to ceiling windows...bathroom not large, although big shower (no bath) and the whole place spotlessly clean. Downsides to room were that it was quite hot during the day and couldn't control thermostat, the room safe had no key although Im sure one would have been provided had we needed to use the safe....no tea or coffee making facilities which we knew in advance so take a travel kettle (we did), good sized fridge and mini bar (mini bar prices not bad)...biggest issue by far though was the bed...we had a double bed frame with two single mattresses (not romantic at all!) there was a bottom sheet and just a fabric throw on the bed with a blanket in the wardrobe, it was very cold at night, they definitely need to put sheets or a duvet on the bed! Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice, and again everything spotlessly clean. Without exception the staff were nothing but friendly and eager to help, all reception staff speak English too.....didn't look in the spa so cant comment on that, bar/lounge was nice, and again reasonable prices, a computer is available to use in here, although wi fi is free throughout the hotel and is quite fast, better than some Ive used abroad.....The hotel is about a ten minute walk to Wenceslas Square, and Prague centre, and although a main road runs right in front the double glazing cuts all the sound out, so no worries on that score......all in all a great hotel for those on a budget, and I would definitely recommend, but if they just put some extra bedding on I would make my 4 star a 5!!!!

Dear client,
I would like to thank you for your review.
I am happy you were satisfied in our hotel, and I am very sorry you have not found the duvet in your bed. All the beds are equipped with pillows and duvets, that both together are made up in the upper part of bed under cover. The throws in the wardrobe are just in case the duvets are not enough.
I hope that next time your stay will be without even a small problem.
Thank you very much,
Markéta Modrá

We arrived around 2pm and the young lady on the desk realized that being 2 females we would want twin beds. She changed our room without us even asking which was excellent service. The room we had was on the 5th floor and had skylight windows but it was roomy and very clean. The heating seemed a bit too warm but we were ok with it until on our last night when the heater kept blowing all night. We didn't do anything about it because it was the middle of the night but I know the staff would have dealt with it had we let them know. The shower was very intermittent both with temperature and flow. I think because we were on the 5th floor that didn't help the pressure. The breakfast had a good range of choice. Cheeses, sliced meats, hard boiled eggs, cereals, fruit, yogurts, various breads and cakes, fruit juices, tea, coffee, scrambled egg, omlettes, smoked sausage. Some mornings the hot food was a bit cold. There is a bar with free internet and pool table and the WiFi worked for us on the 5th floor. Overall the hotel is very clean and the staff very helpful. We enjoyed our stay and would go back to Prague and this hotel again.

Room Tip: our room on 5th floor had no view due to sky light windows and the shower pressure and temperature w...

Had a great time in Prague and loved the hotel. Great location and excellent service. Will not waste time looking for another hotel if we come back as would be happy to book again! Gym and sauna room is a must after long days of hiking around and only ten mins walk to the city center. overall 10/10!
