The hotel is not on Wenceslas Sqaure but I guess near enough. Close to a metro station so you can avoid the rip-off taxis in this city. Staff very friendly. Room typical Novotel was adequately furnished and very clean. Breakfast excellent with plenty of choice.

I stayed for 3 days on a business trip, the hotel was good in many respects but 2 of us experienced the constant noise of a phone ringing on the 4th floor (alarm been set or some kind of auto dialer we were guessing) - I put in a number of calls asking hotel staff to locate the room/phone but nothing changed - I was told it was 'hard to find'.. finally offered to let me move rooms but was the last night and I was running at a pace with business meetings/dinners so couldn't spare the time..an annoying aspect to an otherwise pleasant 3 days..lack of sleep not good.

Room Tip: If you're given a room on the 4th floor..spend 5 minutes and listen for a phone ringing.. if you...

Decent value, clean, as you would expect. Lovely cocktails from the bar. One thing to note is that this is not actually in Wenceslas Square so don't head the once you arrive in town. Th e nearest tube stop is pavlova and the tube system is really reliable.
Highly recommended hotel

This is similar to Novotels found all over the world, good quality and comfortable.

While this hotel is called Wencelas square it's a little way away (5-10 minute walk) and at the end that's furthest from the Old Town. If you're driving then its not a bad location as old town hotels would be a nightmare to get to! There's underground parking that's shared with the IBIS next door.

Breakfast is superb if you're happy with continental. Really excellent selection of cold meats, cheese and different breads. Breakfast is served from 6:30 which means you can make the most of the early morning and see the sites before it gets too busy or too hot.

The air conditioning in the room was very poor but this is the same in virtually all Novotels so you just accept it. Apart for being warm the room was quiet and comfortable.

TV is limited but there were 3 English language channels CCTV, BBC AND Sky. There's free wifi in the room and you can connect multiple devices. I was always able to connect but at busy times some pages failed to load and had to be refreshed.

If I drove to Prague again then I would stay at the Novotel, if I flew or arrived by train then I would look for something closer to the Old Town or Castle District.

We stayed in this hotel last year, basically because we were travelling back from Poland and wanted to visit Prague on the way, but needed a car park in the hotel. This hotel was great as it is perfectly placed and walking distance to all the main sights (and a fab shopping centre practically next door) We were a family of 4, so had to book 2 rooms as they don't do rooms for 4 (we found this a lot in Europe) but it was fine as we split the girls and the boys. Room was well designed, small but perfectly formed. Very comfortable. Bar was great and the staff were lovely. Breakfast the next morning was good too and a massive selection. I was sad to leave and am planning on going back to Prague with my mum and would happily go to this hotel again
