“Excellent Value for Money”
Reviewed February 1, 2014

Recently stayed here for the fourth time. The hotel is in a quiet residencial area very close to the public transport system and within a 10 minute stroll to Charles Bridge. The rooms are clean, comfortable and well equipped. There is a wide range of breakfast items including scrambled eggs, toast, yogurt, cheese and cold meats. The staff are extremely friendly (in particular Viktor on reception and the tall blond lady in the breakfast room) and happy to give advise on places to visit. There is supermarket within 50 metres which is open until midnight. Just a short walk takes you to the funicular railway to go up Petrin Hill. All in all an excellent choice at an amazing price. We will be back!

Room Tip: ask for a room with a kitchenette.

We chose this hotel as a budget option, but it turned out better than expected for the price. It is away from the main centre, but you can walk there in 20 minutes or there are nearby tram stops covering multiple routes. If you don't want to go into the centre there are a number of restaurants and bars in the nearby streets. There is also a supermarket that stays open till midnight 50 metres away. The hotel itself is on a quiet street and was very quiet inside our room. We ended up with a junior suite with loads of space, a kitchenette and a table and chairs. The furnishing/decor may not be the most modern, but it was clean and it all worked. Breakfast was fine, if nothing special (I don't eat meat but found plenty to keep me going). There is a 24 hr reception and the staff were knowledgeable, cheerful and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Dear Valued Guest,
thank you for sharing your experience in our Hotel Residence Mala Strana!
Our property is a perfect choice for a budget stay and we are happy you were satisfied with it.
The hotel offers comfortable rooms and a good location out of the buzz, but still walking distance to the beauties of Prague.
I am also very glad to read that our breakfast offer was enough to keep you up for the day, we offer a good choice of beverages and food both for vegetarian and not. In case of special request, it is enough to inform the hotel at least few days in advance in oreder to arrnage any change or request.
We are looking forward to welcoming you soon!

Wonderful hotel. We got cheap flights and hotel package in January from lastminute.com. We didn't expect much but got a kitchenette, a table, chairs, 2 benches, a living room, a bathroom, a separate bedroom (double) and a hallway with lots of storage space. We checked in really late (10.00pm) but there is 24 hour friendly service. We could walk from our hotel to the Charles Bridge in 10 minutes and Old Town Square in about 15-20 minutes even in the snow. Loved it and will stay again. Also, check out was 12.00pm so we could have a nice sleep before leaving. Very relaxed and actually the best place I've stayed in in Prague. I have nothing whatsoever to do with the company or the hotel, but wanted to say how happy I was with the experience.

Room Tip: No tips - it was simply a lovely hotel. Although, don't buy alcoholicdrinks from the reception a...

This hotel is in a quieter part of Prague, but still boasts really good restaurants and a few bars. There are also places you wouldn't normally venture to if you were located in the heart of the city. Like the 'hunger wall' and some lovely gardens which have fantastic views of the city. It is about a 20 minute walk from the city centre.
The staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful which is great if you're not that confident with public transport! It is quite an old fashioned building but what matters is that it is clean and comfortable. However, be careful if you are having a nap or want some privacy as the maid didn't knock on our door and just walked straight into the room. Use the 'do not disturb' sign! The breakfast is mainly continental but there is something for everyone, including yoghurt, cereal, fruit, scrambled egg, toast etc. All in all a pleasant trip and would definitely recommend staying here as it is great value for money.

Dear Valued Guest,
thank you for the lovely review! It was our pleasure to have you in our Hotel Residence Mala Strana!
I wouls like to apologize for the little accident that happend with the chambermaid entering your room. We invite guests to use the "do not disturb" sign and I already informed and trained the housekeeping staff to knock and announce their presence. I am sure it will not happen again.
Thank you anyway for your understanding and we are looking forward to welcoming you soon.

Breakfast was good, although I would've liked to have some lettuce, cucumber or tomato or something fresh. Room was good and certainly big enough for one person. Everything was quite old, but still clean and working. Location wasn't "in the middle of it all",which was nice. neighborhood was quiet.
I'd stay there next time I visit Prague.

A Hotel with a very nice location. Very close to public transportation of all kinds . Very easy access to all the bohemian allure this city has to offer .Staff is very helpful and the breakfast is excellent. The rooms are very basic. If you are at this Hotel you are just a few blocks from Villa Bertranka, where Mozart spent some time of his life. Is just around the corner from the Hotel.Don’t miss it !

I have just returned from my second trip to Prague and to this hotel. Although I stayed in a different room this time, my previous review still stands.
The hotel is located on a very quiet street, which is a short walk away from Mala Strana Square and Charles Bridge. Or cross Legion Bridge and head into Novo Mesto. Trams run from the end of the street which means that all of Prague is only a few minutes ride away.
The service here is brilliant. The front desk staff are very friendly and chat about your day. Victor was very helpful with maps and brochures of things I may like to do during my visit, and the guy who handled my check out (sorry didn't get his name, tall with pony tail) told me a little of this history of the building. I will recommend this hotel time and time again.

Room Tip: I have stayed on the first and second floors, My first floor room was nicer than my second floor but...
