We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights during a recent couples vacation. Having been to Europe a few times before I was expecting the usual clean but generic hotel. I was pleasantly surprised by the Jewel Hotel. It is centrally located and meticulously kept. The rooms are small but very functional and well-designed and more than adequate for a comfortable stay. The bathroom and shower were spotless. The sitting bench area in the room was a great little hangout, read your book spot. The buffet breakfast was delicious; the freshly squeezed orange and grapefruit juice was a nice addition. Overall this hotel is well worth every penny spent. It is a great little boutique hotel for anyone who likes to get away from the chain hotel during their vacation. I would highly recommend the hotel!

Stayed at the Design Hotel Jewel Pague in mid-June 2013. Location, service, and attention to detail were all exceptional. Location is within walking distance to Old Town and indeed most of the sites one would visit in Prague. Service was impeccable - everything from breakfast to scheduling a haircut to tour referral were quick, efficient and very friendly. Every evening special handmade desserts were delivered to our room along with cards retelling special Prague ghost stories. Design and decor were fantastic. Also recommend for dinner and drinks. Will definitely stay there again. Very highly recommend.

The room was a bit smal, but what to expect in the city centre of Prague. I was in a single room, which was equipped to 4 star standard. 5 minutes walk from the main tourist attractions. Breakfast hot or cold, you couls choose. The only problem you might have is to park your rental car if you one. Very clean and nice Hotel, would recomed to everybody!!!

Quite literally a jewel of a hotel. Very convenient location--you are no more than 10 minutes away from most of the big attractions in Prague. Near all the action, but quiet enough to fall asleep at any hour.

Service and rooms alike were incredible. Very nice sized room and bathroom--all extremely well maintained and clean. And service was outstanding. Every little detail was not overlooked--fresh water every day infused with a different fruit, turn-down service with miniature pastries every night. Breakfast included was very tasty, and easily caters to every taste.

Super friendly (very English-friendly too), and cordial throughout.

Room Tip: Can request a room on the lower floors as there is only a small "lift" designed to carry s...

I have been meaning to write a review for this hotel as we stayed there in July 2012 but have only got round to it.

The hotel is in a fantastic location, the staff on reception I found extremely helpful pointing out good places for us to try for a taste of traditional Prague drinking / eating especially as we was celebrating my birthday so wanted to make it special and it certainly was.

The cocktails served at the hotel are absolutely fantastic, you must try them if you stay there!

The room was lovely, very clean and spacious with dressing robes, slippers and a lovely big modern bathroom.

Would definitely come back again and have already recommended to a friend who also stayed there.

Very pleased with this hotel - excellent value for money. Perfect central location for walking to everything. Luggage lift was a god-send... Walking three flights of stairs to room was significant. Staff very friendly however not good with concierge actions - turned up at restaurant to find no booking had been made, wrong meal delivered to room (however food was excellent so we didn't complain). They did allow me to have train tickets sent directly there a few weeks beforehand and they were waiting in our room, which was excellent. You need to walk through the bar (albeit classy) to get to reception - very James Bond. Daily water with fresh citrus was nice touch. Chocolate delivered daily also. Room serving average... Did not replace toiletries or clean bathroom glasses. Would definitely consider staying here again.

TIP: there seems to be a finite amount of hot water late morning and we had cold showers the first day. If you sleep in, shower early and go back to bed!

Good Monrning,

Thank you for very nice review. However, I would like to comment on couple of things.

Reservation was done for 18:30 but guests arrived at 20:00. The table was still available so guests could take it.

The receptionist made a mistake in room service order and ordered different kind of pasta. We appologize for this once more and we are glad that even though the guests enjoyed their meal.

We only have a luggage lift and we take care of the guests´ luggage at the check in as well as at the check out. The information that we have only three floors and no lift since we are in the state protected historic building is available on our website, tripadvisor and at all our online sellers´ sites.

Due to the floods in Prague we had no running water for one day and it was not in our powers to deal with this situation. We appologize for any troubles caused by this fact and thank you for understanding.

We do not restock the cosmetics every day. In each bathroom there is a card right next to the cosmetics stating that in case that the guests would like to restock cosmetics, they should call the reception and the cosmetics will be restocked, free of charge of course.

Thank you ones more for nice review.
