I benefited of a room up-grade. The room was spacious without excess. The bathroom is equipped with a sophisticated shower device. Fine, but the Instructions for use are limited to few pictograms not clear at all. Or the device did not function properly. I certainly did not succeed to enjoy the possibilities this shower device is supposed to offer. The management is advised to check a) the clarity for an non-specialist of the instructions/pictograms and b) the proper functioning of all the functions. The breakfast was very nice. Staff at the reception is very efficient. Hotel location is excellent and the Prague castle (Hradcany) is easy to reach via the park in front of the hotel. An alternative way far from the tourists crowd…! The historical centre on both sides of the Vltava can also be reached by foot, no need to take a taxi or even public transport. A large Tesco commercial center is at 10 minutes walk.. For me, a gem in Prague.

Nice hotel with good price tag, standard breakfast, nice spacious rooms. Quite close to the center, walking distance to Mala Strana, Karluv Most (Charles' Bridge), Petrin hill. Kinsky Gardens across the street. Good chance to get (even free) parking spot close to the hotel so you won't need hotel parking.

I spent 3 nights in this hotel and found it to be very good value for money. It is in quite a good location since it is opposite the park, is quiet and away from the noise of the centre. It is a good twenty minutes walk to the centre and has a bus stop nearby. My room was immaculately clean, with a comfortable bed, TV and private facilities. However, the room was very small and quite dark and dingy overlooking a courtyard, where the locals washing was on view. Luckily, Prague is such a magnificent city with so much to see, that we did not spend a lot of time in the room, other than to sleep and wash!
The breakfast was served from 7am to 11am and was excellent. There was a wide range of cereals, fruit juices, fruit salads, bread rolls, local ham and cheeses, cakes as well as cooked breakfast consisting of bacon, frankfurters and scrambled egg. Breakfast was served in a very pleasant room and there were very attentive staff to make sure you had all you needed.

Overall a very good hotel, but I found the staff at the reception desk to be quite unfriendly compared to other hotels I have stayed in. Although they answered questions regarding how to get to places etc efficiently they did not seem to smile, and if they had I would have rated this hotel as excellent!

Room Tip: Get a room with a view of th park in the front

Really good value, clean, good breakfast with much choice, bar and restaurant if you needed it in the evening. Well located, just 10 mins walk from the bus tour bus stop and 20 mins from town centre, but an easy walk, we did it a few times! Free wifi, computer and printer on tap and just across the street the well kept sedcret of Kinsky Gardens, with its raiway to the top and the 'Eiffel Tower' like monument you can climb to see the whole Prague panorama. Coffee shops and food well priced, excellent chill mout after a few days touring the excellent city of Prague.

The hotel was ideally located just a stones throw away from the main areas but far enough to have a little peace and quiet in between sight seeing! The staff were very freindly, speaking good English. The elder gentlemen was particularly helpful, especially with ordering us a taxi on a night's out, and he always had a very welcoming smile. The room was a standard size and a comfortable bed, with air conditioning which was much appreciated after a day walking around in the boiling hot sunshine. The breakfast was a good standard, enough choice for a vegetarian like myself. All-in-all a lovely hotel, we enjoyed our stay very much.

Encouraged by the good reviews on this site, we still booked this hotel a little cautiously as it seemed at under £70 with breakfast, to good to be true. It did not disappoint though. We arrived mid morning and the staff went to a lot of trouble to prepare a room for us without any extra charge. Throughout our stay all staff were extremely polite and helpful and reception very efficient
in booking trips and transport.
The hotel is located by Petrin Park about 15 minutes walk to the centre. Other reviewers had mentioned this and at first we had some regrets about location, particularly as we had quite a lot of rain during our stay. However we quickly realised the benefits, firstly it allowed us to take many different routes across all the bridges giving us a better feel for the city. Even better was that we quickly found excellent restaurants and bars in the area, where we could eat as well but far cheaper than the central tourist spots. On our first night sitting in the Old Town Square we paid Kc139 for half litre of Pilsner Urquell which we subsequently only paid Kc40 in bars near the hotel.
The rooms were absolutely spotless and the bathroom in particular. The decor was reasonable and the room spacious enough, but I can't imagine too many people spending much time in such a wonderful city.
The buffet breakfast was adequate although the serving area was small and it did get congested at times.
We really enjoyed our stay and would return.

We really enjoyed our stay in Prague. The city is absolutely beautiful and I think often overlooked by U.S. tourists.

The hotel itself is adequate. The rooms are average sized for Europe and comfortable. Understand that if you are traveling with older children, you'll need to rent two rooms as they don't have rooms to accomodate four people. We found the hotel to be clean and quiet, but the air conditioner left a bit to be desired. The breakfast was great. The staff speaks English. Some much better than others. They were very helpful and when our transfer to the train station decided not to show up, they quickly scrambled and got us a ride.

As for location, the hotel is within walking distance of everything. Not close walking distance, but not unreasonable if you're a capable walker. It isn't right down in the heart of the city, so if you enjoy being in the middle of it all, you will need to make the twenty minute walk every time, or take one of the trams which is easy enough. The nice thing about this location is that you can find shops and restaurants that are frequented by locals and thus charge accordingly.
