We have just completed our fourth stay at the Julian this year, making twelve stays over the past few years. Having travelled all over Europe, we have yet to find a hotel that is better than the Julian, at any price. We have stayed here as a couple and with various friends and family members. All have been equally charmed by this wonderful boutique hotel. We were not surprised to learn on the commencement of a stay earlier this summer that Rick Steves had just checked out of our reserved room. We first came upon the Julian years ago in one of Rick's travel books, and as always, have not regretted his advice. We have come to know and love most of the wonderful staff, all of whom have always extended us superior service and advice. We also enjoy the breakfasts as well as the outstanding dinners in the hotel's on site restaurant. If we were asked what the Julian could do to be even better, we could not come up with a single suggestion.
We would not even consider staying at any other hotel in Prague - at any price.

The property has very nice location, just 5 minutes’ walk from Petrin hill (view, restaurant, park, and other attractions), one tram stop from shopping center Andel and few minutes from Prague 01. It is situated in reconstructed building from early 19 century; rooms are in classical style and clean. Staff was exceptional - nice, kind and really helpful. Breakfast was also exceptional offering all possible varieties of hot and cold drinks and meals. I highly recommend this hotel.

Small hotel in a classical style. Spent 4 nights here on a trip with my girlfriend. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Was possible to leave bags in a locker after we checked out. Our room was nice and modern. Breakfast was nothing special but still totally fine.

The hotel is walking distance to basically everything you want to do while in Prague so we did not have to use public transport at all which is nice. I think it is around 1km to Charles Bridge. The street around the hotel is was calm and quiet, no problems walking home late at night. Overall great stay!

We booked Hotel Julian on the basis that we wanted a Czech hotel experience without paying the earth, whilst still being close to the center. We were not disappointed! The hotel is 20mins walk from Charles Bridge, but only 1 min walk from a stop on the number 9 tram line which takes you to Wenceslas Square. The staff were amazingly helpful, and courteous. Our room, although small had everything you could want, was spotlessly clean and a comfortable bed. The reception area is full of fascinating antiques, many of which still work. There is a roof terrace with fantastic views over the city, and a cellar bar with great atmosphere. Breakfast included just about everything you could want.

All in all I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms to the rear of the hotel are quieter

I must say I am wowed by this hotel . A classic with the modern touches near the central Prague old town and a real find . We stayed in the three room suite on the the top floor. We had a window view of the castle and the cathedral from the rooftop. The staff could not have been more accommodating and helpful. what a grand , great experience

Room Tip: try for the top floor (fifth floor ) rooms they are brand new and overlook the city with skylights...

My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon on January. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They gave us a free upgrade to congratulate us on our wedding. The rooms although old were massive and overlooked the street which was not noisy at all. The common area downstairs is beautifully decorated and the perfect place to sit with a glass of wine in front of a cracking fire. The restaurant attached served delicious food and wine, we ate in on a few snowy cold nights and were not disappointed. The breakfast included was yummy too. The hotel is about a 30 minute walk from the old town but it is a beautiful walk. It is close to a massive shopping center as well with cinema.

Dear clients.

I am happy you did not forget about our hotel even if your stayed with us on January.

January is low season so we do have oportunity to provide to our clients the best rooms we have. It is not easy during the high season because the most of the rooms are booked. I am happy you enjoyed your wedding anniversary! You are right...fire place in the lobby can be very romantic place when snowing outside...

Kidn greetings

We stayed at the Hotel Julian on a family vacation to Prague this summer. We were fortunate to get one of the apartment style rooms and it was lovely to have more space than we otherwise found on this journey.

The hotel is located very near a tram station though it's not a bad walk, if you are able, to the Main Square. It did take us approximately 20m on foot. The trams going that direction come about every 5-7minute. The hotel itself is located on a quiet street with wonderful Trip Advisor approved restaurants within 3 blocks. The hotel is locked and you ring in so security is good.

We didn't interact with many of the staff though Tereza in reception was exceptional. Her knowledge of the city is wonderful and she was very helpful in giving directions and suggestions for touring.

Breakfast, which was included in our rate, was good. Not as extensive as in other hotels this trip though this is a smaller venue and we certainly found the quality to be excellent. Also included in the rate is a late-departure room which included shower and washroom facilities. Much appreciated before our night train to the next destination.

The decor is the only thing that I would suggest was less than exceptional. It's a bit dark throughout the building and the furnishings are dated. I suspect this will need to change in the next year or two as the interior is moving to the disheveled end of the quirky to disheveled of the spectrum.

Dear guests.

Thank you for sharing your experience with Hotel Julian with other travelers.

I see the apartments are very popular between our guests, especialy families appreciate the space and comfort. Our receptionist Tereza is very nice girl, I see positives review on her work all around me! She is one of our best employees. Unfortunately Tereza will leave us soon, she is moving to another city here in The Czech Republic. A hotel she is going to work at is very lucky.

I hope to see you again in hotel Julian even if Tereza is not here!:-)

Kind regards
