The Diplomat is a fantastic hotel, great location, close to the metro and can take the bus from the airport and the last stop is right by the hotel practically. Rooms, were very clean, spacious, staff friendly and helpful. The food was very good, of a high standard, great service and will be certainly staying there again. Definitely would recommend this hotel for the business traveller and leisure traveller as caters very well for both.

Room Tip: Definitely only need to take the bus from the airport, cheaper and takes you to the centre and the l...

Hi ,

My Russian friends were participating the conference held in Diplomat hotel Prague. They describing hotel as marvelous place to stay for business and leisure. The food was gorgeous and rooms had fine atmosphere suitable for having rest and work. They were so pleasured and flattened, so asked me to put the comment as they did already.

Room Tip: Superior rooms are cool

We stayed here for 3 nights on a Groupon voucher and found the hotel to be excellent value for what we paid. The deal included a 3-course dinner (including drink) which we took on the first night in the CD Restaurant. Although the Groupon menu was limited, the food was lovely and freshly cooked.

Breakfast offered a wide variety of traditional Czech options as well as cereals, toast etc. Although as mentioned in previous reviews, table clearing service was minimal. We ate at a fairly early time each morning so didn't find this to be too much of a problem even with large holiday and business groups staying at the hotel.

We stayed in room 610 (a superior room as per the Groupon deal) on the side of the hotel, facing out over what was a nice green space but which the authorities have unfortunately decided to rip up and was therefore, a building site at the time of our stay - a real shame but completely outwith the control of the hotel and, in fact the windows were completely soundproof so we were not affected anyway.

We had no problem with the air conditioning - although there were no instructions we soon figured out the controls and found the room to be reasonably comfortable despite the 30+ degrees outside! Although the furnishings are not exactly modern, we wouldn't describe them as dated but neutral and exactly what you might expect. The flatscreen TV offered a number of European satellite channels including news, sport and films.

Hotel location is ideal for a good city break - away from the bustle of the city centre but only 2 minutes from a metro station from which it's a 5-10 minute journey to most of the major attractions, and also a regular 20 minute bus ride from the airport. Finally, as with almost everywhere in Prague, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and all spoke very good English.

If we ever back in Prague, we would strongly consider staying here again!

Room Tip: Mini bar may be expensive (as always) but handy for storing your own cold drinks!

the AC is not working in the rooms in which we stayed (6rooms), we made complaints several times, but only one reply - I will send the technician. but no technician came even after 4 days. the same experience was shared by other occupants also when we met them at restaurant. it was too hot inside the room but the reception area was cool. infact we thought of going to reception area or metro station with pillow to sleep
