“good hotel”
Reviewed December 11, 2012

This was a nice stay for me. I paid a bit extra and had access to the executive lounge on the 22n fluor

What I liked about the hotel
1. the executive lounge was great
2. The pool on the 25th floor and the gym are quite nice
3. The restaurants that I tried were all nice
4. Nice bathroom, and the bidet adds a nice touch
5. Internet was just ok

My complaints
1. The water temperature fluctuates. I got scortched a few times while showering
2. As most hotels in Prague, they allow smoking in public areas. As a result the air quality is bad in several areas.

Room Tip: pay the extra $ for the executive lounge

The Smoking indoors is not necessarily the hotel's fault since indoors smoking is still prevalent in lots of Eastern European countries.
But interestingly smoking is not allowed in any of the bedrooms (I think) only in designated parts of the hotel.
It means that if you are a non-smoker socializing in the bar area, you won't escape inhaling the secondhand smoke.

The hotel is conveniently situated close to the metro and that offers easy transport links to the airport or City centre.
It costs less than £1.50 and barely 50 minutes to travel between the airport and hotel.
The City centre is just 2 stops away by Metro.
This is important because there is not much to do or eat outside the hotel. Even a bottle of water in the hotel costs over £3!

I loved the speed of the escalators, they arrived on time and whisked you up to your floor in seconds.
I found the beds very soft and were very comfortable.
During breakfast, there was a wide selection of various choices.
I also enjoyed the internet coverage with strong signals throughout the hotel.

Overall, I will only recommend the hotel if you get a special package deal that includes breakfast, internet and spa.
Anything else and the hotel is too expensive and there are lots of other cheaper and equally comfortable options to consider.

Hotel is located 50 meters from metro station and therefore only few minutes from downtown Prague. The service was average, I saw a first smile from hotel workers at the 3rd day of my visit, but that's kind of normal in East Europe service culture. Still, everything worked ok. Breakfast is better than average.

Rooms were ok sized and very clean, the only thing I missed was hot water from shower. Some times you have it and some times you don't get it. Cleaners did a very good job.

It's a very good option for visiting Conference center and all right option for Prague downtown.

Ask the hotel for their own transportation company to pick you up at the airport, the price is reasonable and it's much easier that way.

Room Tip: High floor for better views.

Corinthia Towers is a modern hotel just outside the heart of Prouge. Some 50 meters from Visherad metro station that takes you into the center of Prague in 5-7 min. Service is good, breakfast is amazing and there is even a casino on site. We enjoyed it very much and wil probably come again.

Quite an average hotel, very old fashioned decor. We had a nightmare with the hotel that came to collect us. The guy arrived and there were 5 of us on a business trip but he only had the details of 3. He then vanished and we looked for him for about 15 minutes before in the end we got taxis. When we arrived at the hotel, he walked up to us and started shouting at us. The hotel manager was apologetic but it was quite scary. The hotel itself was a little drab. The food was average. I got a coffee in the cafe and they have 4 latte glasses, I know because on day 2, I went to get one and was told I was supposed to take back the mug to the floor I got it from (it stayed in the hotel!!). Another time we asked for a piece of fruit rather than all the cake on offer and were told there was none in the hotel. ...

Wouldn't stay again.

I suppose the hotel was built in the 80th, at that time was a really prestigious hotel of Prague. Although is not located in the downtown, 50m from the hotel entrance is the metro station which takes you wherever you want.
In the last years the hotel was facelifted tried to be a modern 5 star hotel. Rooms are big enough beds are comfortable, only the bath seems a bit low budget. But the most important is clean.
Regarding staff, nothing very special business smile, politeness, maximum to mention they are knocking on the door in the morning to check the minibar.
In the hotel they are three restaurants, I tried the oriental one: “Rickshaw” and it’s great. Food was superb, excellent service, nothing to complain. Initially I wanted to rate the hotel with 3 points only because of Rickshaw I went to 4 :)
But I had sometime the feeling buying a superior car, for reasonable money, but afterwards every extra has to be paid separately for good money. In the hotel rate for example is not included the gym, I had to pay extra 350 Kc. Also the garage is extra and quite expensive 650 Kc/day. Breakfast is continental and large variety of food, but for a good “Illy” espresso you have again to pay again 90 Kc.
