Not till you visit this area of Prague will you understand the scale of the suffering of the Jewish people.Take the ticket that's let's you see ( 6 parts of the Jewish quarter ).The ticket last for 7 days,so you can take your time viewing it all.

I understand that many people would not appreciate this part of the City. But to be fair, you could walk around any old city in europe and not appreciate it unless you knew the history to it. I strongly reccomend going with part of a tour group and most tours go through Josefov.

The hitory and stories of Josefov are powerful and ide reccomend everyone go visit.

Thank you very much for your review. We do recommend to do a guided tour in case you are interested in more detail and to fully enjoy your visit.
All of our tour guides have to sit rather difficult history exams and are professionally trained to answer your questions and give you necessary feedback. We will be happy to welcome you again!

We had a 2,5 hour sightseeing tour round the most important places of Jewish district with an excellent guide, and learned much about Jews in Prague since 10th century. The synagogues and other parts of this Museum are in perfect condition. Very interesting experience!

Thank you very much for your comments, we are happy you enjoyed your guided tour! Each tour guide with a valid permit to guide in the Jewish Museum in Prague has to pass rather difficult comprehensive exam on the history of the Jews in Prague and the Prague Jewish Town and we put a great emphasis on their professional conduct.
Thank you very much for your kind comments and we will look forward your next visit of the Jewish Museum in Prague.

Not worth the money for what you see. Prague has hundrend other sites and activities much better and cheaper! The cemetary is very interesting and nice, but they shouldnt charge so much for it

Thank you for your comment. The price, from our point of view, corresponds with the uniqueness of the visited sites and it is on par with the admission to other major European cultural heritage. The ticket includes several buildings including the unique exposures in most of them, you can use it for 7 days.
The Jewish Museum in Prague is a private institution that fully funds its operations - not only the exhibition, but also its educational, publishing, scientific and archival work. A large part of the revenue is used for the care of the world's unique museum collection, and it is spent on the repairing and reconstruction of historic buildings in the area of Prague's former Jewish Town. Thank you for your understanding, we will look forward your next visit.

You can find out about Jewish history and their traditions. Walking through the synagogue makes you feel the painfull history of some 80000 jewish who disappered with their names printed on the walls. There is even some original names still shown. The walk through the cemetary is very sad.
