I stayed here recenly on a business trip and have no major complaints about this hotel at all - my sole gripe would be that the art deco rooms are a bit on the small side, so space would have been at a premium had I needed to work in the room (which, on this occasion, I happily didn't), and the hotel does feel slightly dated.

However, the gym facilities, the staff and the restaurant / breakfast buffet were all fine and the hotel and my room were very clean - so I certainly wouldn't give this an "average" rating (although I personally prefer the Hilton Old Town).

Location-wise, it's very central though - twenty metres from Wenceslas Square, so a good "stopping off" point if you want to explore Prague!

Dear Guest,

We appreciate your review shared with TripAdvisor community.

We are sorry to hear that the room you stayed at during your business trip had limited working space. Our hotel has either standard rooms or higher category rooms which have larger working area. So next time do not hesitate to book one of them.

We are happy to know that even thou it was your business trip you found time to visit our gym and restaurants. It is nice to hear that you appreciated the location of our hotel. It is indeed close to the main tourist sites, shopping areas and many restaurants.

As hospitality professionals we value our guests' feedback. Thank you for sharing your experience and we hope to have you as our guest again in the future.

With kind regards,

Michal Chour

If you want to get spoiled in Prague, you should stay in this hotel! Right in the city centre, just 10 min. walk to all main historical attractions. I had a large wonderful room with a view of the Prague Castle. The staff was extremly friendly, always ready to help, advise and take an extra step to make sure your expectations are met. There is also a fantastic Michelin star restaurant, definitely worth visiting.
Fantastic Experience! Highly recommended.

Hotel was great, staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, in fact they assisted in tracking down our lost luggage daily until it arrived at the hotel.
The hotels location makes it readily accessible to get the worthwhile sites in Prague.
It is just off Wenceslas Square.
The hotel arranged a great pick up and drop off service with Tic Tac taxis.
They also assisted us with good dinner reservations.
We would certainly use this hotel again and would recommend it.

Super convenient to sights and transport. We had room that looked not over the street, but over a courtyard and roofs. It was super-quiet. Room interior full of glass and mirrors. Interesting clientel of East Europeans and Russians. Few Americans. Outstanding breakfast.
Would stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the courtyard and not the street.

My friend and I stayed at the Alcron Radisson Blu between the 13th and 16th December in room 735.

We chose this hotel, because of its excellent reviews and its reputation.

The hotel itself is very nice and ideally located. The staff on the front desk cannot do enough for you. Very courteous and friendly, as were the staff in the bar and at breakfast.

Our twin room 735, was clean, tidy and comfortable. It had a large television, coffee machine, safe, mini bar and phone.

Our only problem was that we didn't get much sleep the first night due to the HEAT.. The air-conditioning wasn't working - we let the front desk know and an engineer was already in our room when we returned from breakfast, fixing it. The only fault was that when we returned the next night - it was exactly the same, this meant we had to sleep with the window open for the rest of the stay, as we were not going to report it again. For the price you are paying - the air con should be working and checked before guest arrival. So this was disappointing. We did advise the hotel on check out - and we were told they would look into it again!

Breakfast was served until 10.30am, and consisted of - cooked breakfast, cereals, breads, cheeses, fresh fruits, yogurts, waffles - and more.. Plus bottles of water and Prosecco. There was plenty of choice - all very nice.

The bar, which we only ever used for a quick night cap was pleasant and quiet.

We did try and book the Michelin Star Restaurant while we were there but they were already fully booked. What a shame!! :(

We arranged our airport transfers through the airport, an Audi A6 run by Tic Tac. Cost 600 each way. Both taxi's turned up on time.

We also booked a walking guide via the hotel, cost 750 each. Well worth the experience.

All in all a lovely stay - but you don't expect to stay at a 5* hotel and sleep with the window open in December.

Being part of a tour group we were booked into the Radisson Blu by the tour operator. The staff are friendly and most speak English with varying levels of proficiency. What really bugs me about the restaurants in this hotel is that they charge for tap water. Actually, tap water is more expensive than a glass of beer. I think that is just ridiculous and it should be complementary. However, the food is good and there is plenty of fresh items on the breakfast menu. Dining at the La Rotonde restaurant is expensive, with the steak dish being almost AUD$50. I have to say the prices are on the high side for what you receive and not quite what I expected for Prague; I guess they are cashing in on the tourist dollar and the popularity of Prague at the present time. I would suggest checking out less expensive eating venues and perhaps a less expensive hotel is you are travelling independently.

Room Tip: I doubt there are any rooms with a view, but I would ask for a room not overlooking the inside of th...

Dear Guest,

We appreciate your comments shared here on TripAdvisor.

We are happy you enjoyed the hotel and the friendly staff, as well as the food. With regards to the food pricing in our La Rotonde restaurant, it is one of the best restaurants in Prague and the food and the experience lives up to it. The prices are absolutely competitive with those of other restaurants in its range. We do not charge for providing the tap water for the customers in the restaurant, and it definitely cannot be more expensive than beer, it must have been a misunderstanding in the middle for which we sincerely apologize.

We assure you that your concerns have been noted and will be discussed for further improvement of our services. We hope you will stay with us in the future and we will have met all of your expectations.
