“Great Spot beside Prague Castle”
Reviewed December 17, 2013 via mobile

We had a three day trip to Prague and based ourselves at the Hoffmeister. Location is great just few hundred meters from the metro and right beside the Castle. Made to feel very welcome the staff could not have been more helpful. We arrived on a busy Saturday and they had to try five restaurants for us to get a booking. Very extensive bouffet breakfast and can have omelette or the like made if you prefer. Room was very comfortable and spacious. Didnt try out the spa as we just ran out of time but no doubt will be back.

From the minute we arrived to the minute we left we were treated to the best and most personal service I have experienced. On arrival we were given a glass of sparkling wine and discussed what options we had whilst visiting Prague for our short stay, whilst our bags were taken to our room. The room was quiet (although this may have been because we were away from the main road), spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and the location, less than 200 meters from the Prague Castle steps. When going out one evening the concierge told us it had just started to rain and asked if we wished to borrow one of the hotel's umbrella's. All in all, we felt looked after from beginning to end.

We stayed here in late Nov 2013 for 4 nights. The staff were rather welcoming and they were there to greet us everytime we came in through the door from our daily visits. The rooms are large, clean and spacious with a good selection of toiletries. There is a good spread of breakfast items which we enjoyed. My husband and I also enjoyed the steam bath and whirlpool which were relaxing and private. We had the whole place to ourselves for two days after breakfast. Overall, a very pleasant stay except for the heater which could get very warm at nights.

A really friendly, well appointed hotel, and staff that go that extra mile to ensure your stay is a great experience. Bedrooms are exceptionally comfortable; food and service exemplary.
Great position to explore all the Prague sights without having to resort to the trams or metro. Everything is within a short walking distance so you can start to take in the flavour of Prague, as soon as you walk out of the hotel. We stayed for four nights ans enjoyed every minute. Would recommend it to everyone.

Room Tip: It is fully double glazed throughout, so no room noise whatsoever. Room 211 offers a great view down...

Great stay in Prague in this hotel, excellent staff, very polite and helpful. The hotel is located in a great position between the castle and the main square! The room was clean and quite big, with great furniture. The breakfast is provided with everything you could expect.
We had an excellent three night stay at the Hotel Hoffmeister

Room Tip: Include breakfast in your reservation, it's worth it!

Where do you start well
Staff - everyone you encounter is only to happy to help or just acknowledge you and say hello, nothing is too much trouble, from asking chef to open some tins to reception printing boarding passes.
Food - breakfast has everything you could possibly want from fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt, cheese, ham to sausages bacon eggs beans and even mushrooms oh and not forgetting the pastries. Again quality and standard exceptional.
Room - (1 bed apartment) again standard of decoration and cleanliness easily 5* and more. We looked at Hilton and others and are so pleased we opted for the Hoffmeister.
Wellness Centre & Spa - this is the jewel in their crown. The "Cave" is the best steam room that I have been in and the steam mechanism makes you jump at first but is very unique! Some of the walls are formed of the actual rock the hotel is built against for added character. Then you have the Roman bath, the biggest jacuzzi I have seen in beautiful serene surroundings. These were available at certain times for free with our reservation but we also had a private session where we had these facilities to ourselves in private and was not very expensive. There are also several massage rooms and a wide variety of treatments.
Hotel in general - the styling of the hotel gives off a feeling of high quality and the polished brass handrails and general decoration put me in mind of the titanic's era - in 1 word - classy.
Transport - trams and metro a 2 min walk from hotel and 2 stops on either puts you in the heart of the city.
If and when we are back in Prague it's a no brainier will be back here like a shot.
Thank you to all the staff for an exceptional stay, keep up the good work!

Room Tip: For the little extra they charge go for room 702 it's a 1 bed apt but has 2 full bathrooms loung...

My husband and I have just returned from a three night stay at the Hotel. Well what can I say we have had just the most fabulous time here. The staff are exceptional in very way. The breakfast was wonderful great choice very well cooked and nicely presented. This hotel is immaculate. The hotel dinner was a fabulous experience and one I would recommend. We enjoyed the spa especially the whirlpool so peaceful and tranquil perfect for relaxing and taking the stress away.
The hotel is also in a fabulous location 5 min walk to Prague Castle and 10-15min walk to Charles bridge and the centre. I can't thank the hotel enough for the fabulous stay and would very much recommend this hotel
