Stayed in an apartment in Hoffmeister hotel for new year. We cannot fault one single thing about this hotel/apartment/service.
Staff: Very attentive and helpful - no matter what we asked or time of day.
Accommodation: Absolutely fantastic, couldn't have asked for any more, over and above what we had expected
Location: Ideal for castle, or just a short walk into Prague city centre. The appartments were on a main road but this was not an issue.
Would we return? YES. Have been to Prague on many occasions, this was the best accommodation yet.
GO FOR IT!

Well, for me it was stressed evening, after travel from amsterdam, for me it was "alternative hotel", because the hotel which i ve booked had no available room, and they send me here. So it was perfect from the first minute! Fabulous! New! Clean! Staff is so kind which is strange honestly in this city! The restaurant was good also, even if the menu is not so big. Location is perfect!!! the prices are good as well! So stay at this small hotel and have a nice staying!

Be extremely cautious with Hoffmeister and its staff. Our story: booked a Junior Suite; during sipping our welcome drink, a talkative guy mentions that there is an accident in our booked suite, so instead of it we will get one other room (no price mentioned, of course we think that the "other room" comes with the respective price); we are requested to pay in advance (this should ring a bell, but we are happy being on holiday), the lady does not show the price on the card reader (!), only asks for the PIN; the billed amount is in CZK. Later for some reason I calculate the EUR amount - we were charged a Junior suite price for a double room. We will sue them, but you have the chance to learn from our example - follow their moves closely.

We booked an apartment, just to be different. .....Fabulous! ,,,Recently refurbished, not a room,...a suite!..." bathrooms, travertine tiling, underfloor heating, big bath, seperate shower!!
lovely large king bed with quality bedlinen and soft pillows,...only gripe was as in CZ x 2 single duvets an a huge bed?...just dont get it?
The hotel wa opposite the refurbished building converted into apartments, 20 mins into town, the tube was only 2 minutes walk.
We will come again to this fab hotel/apartment. Very reasonable rate and polite staff.

Room Tip: Ask for room 702

We were a bit sceptic about the busy road but once you're inside the hotel there is no hinder. Very friendly and helpful staff (and all Czech's that we came in touch with). You see that management is very keen on upgrading the hotel which will make this hotel an excellent location for anyone looking for great location and great food. We are in the restaurant industry and would like to say 'hat off' to the Chef; very tasty and nicely presented food. The prices are very good making this restaurant far better than most of the 'touristy' restaurants found just 500m away on the other side of the river.

Room Tip: We stayed in a junior suite but when we peeked into rooms where the doors were open they looked very...

The Hoffmeister made a perfectly located base from which to explore Prague. Granted, five days is nowhere near enough to see all this gorgeous city has to offer, we were close to all the major attractions. Prague Castle and Charles Bridge were a ten minute walk away. An amble down Charles Bridge got you into the old city. Everything was within walking distance.
The hotel staff were very helpful. From the moment we checked in, someone was there to tell us about the city and show us the routes on a map. Our room on the first floor was spacious, but keeping the windows at night was a no no as traffic sounds were pretty loud. Breakfast was sumptuous and I must recommend the wild boar in the restaurant which has won a Michellin Food award.
I would love to stay at this hotel again when I next visit Prague, a city that has captured my heart.

We were given a junior suite in the attic! Low sloping ceilings, poorly lit and no view. Also the bed was much too soft.

Always spotlessly clean and good well priced restaurant though.
