We booked an apartment, just to be different. .....Fabulous! ,,,Recently refurbished, not a room,...a suite!..." bathrooms, travertine tiling, underfloor heating, big bath, seperate shower!!
lovely large king bed with quality bedlinen and soft pillows,...only gripe was as in CZ x 2 single duvets an a huge bed?...just dont get it?
The hotel wa opposite the refurbished building converted into apartments, 20 mins into town, the tube was only 2 minutes walk.
We will come again to this fab hotel/apartment. Very reasonable rate and polite staff.

Room Tip: Ask for room 702

We were a bit sceptic about the busy road but once you're inside the hotel there is no hinder. Very friendly and helpful staff (and all Czech's that we came in touch with). You see that management is very keen on upgrading the hotel which will make this hotel an excellent location for anyone looking for great location and great food. We are in the restaurant industry and would like to say 'hat off' to the Chef; very tasty and nicely presented food. The prices are very good making this restaurant far better than most of the 'touristy' restaurants found just 500m away on the other side of the river.

Room Tip: We stayed in a junior suite but when we peeked into rooms where the doors were open they looked very...

The Hoffmeister made a perfectly located base from which to explore Prague. Granted, five days is nowhere near enough to see all this gorgeous city has to offer, we were close to all the major attractions. Prague Castle and Charles Bridge were a ten minute walk away. An amble down Charles Bridge got you into the old city. Everything was within walking distance.
The hotel staff were very helpful. From the moment we checked in, someone was there to tell us about the city and show us the routes on a map. Our room on the first floor was spacious, but keeping the windows at night was a no no as traffic sounds were pretty loud. Breakfast was sumptuous and I must recommend the wild boar in the restaurant which has won a Michellin Food award.
I would love to stay at this hotel again when I next visit Prague, a city that has captured my heart.

We were given a junior suite in the attic! Low sloping ceilings, poorly lit and no view. Also the bed was much too soft.

Always spotlessly clean and good well priced restaurant though.

We stayed for 4 nights at this lovely small hotel. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The large double bed was one of the most comfortable I have found in a hotel. The room was very pleasing and comfortable and the bathroom was very clean and modern. Our only slight problem was that after the cold outside, the room was rather hot, we were facing a busy road and opening the windows was not really an option. Breakfast was included and was very good indeed. There were a good section of cold meats including smoked salmon, cheese, fruits, cereals. breads etc., as well as cooked options. It was nice and fresh and continuously restocked as necessary. The hotel is in an excellent location only a couple of minutes from the Malostranska metro station and tram stops. We used metro to get to the hotel from the bus stop having arrived from Munich and took the metro and bus back to the airport. The journeys were easy and all transport that we used was easy, cheap and felt very safe. Although we have meant to use the spa and restaurant in the hotel because both looked excellent, we never got round to it as Prague is such an amazing city and with Christmas markets and decorations there was just so much to see and do. There are many restaurants etc close to the hotel and it is also only a short walk to the castle and Charles Bridge. Will certainly say here again as we intend to return to Prague one day in the Spring to appreciate the parks etc.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the centre of the hotel

Though the Hoffmeister may look unimpressive from the outside, the hotel spa is an amazing experience. I chose to indulge in the 2 hour Papaya treatment for a bargain price of 2400 czk (about $134). The treatment included a full body scrub with a high-end product line, a wrap, and the most heavenly oil massage I have ever had in my life - Elizabet Arden Red Door, take note! The facility itself might be a little kitschy, but the staff here are phenomenal. The massage was the best I have ever had in my life, it was more of a rub down with oil and it was very soothing - unlike these accurpressure and swedish techniques. The oil is blotted off when you are done and makes skin feel amazing, smell heavenly, and look fresh. I'm considering going back wiht my friend for a weekend and doing two days worth of full spa services here at the Hoffmeister.

Room Tip: I only went for spa services

This was our second stay at HH. Since our first visit a few years ago, they've recently renovated rooms, restaurants.and much of the hotel
Pros:
It's still a great stay when you get a superior suite--we got the same one (# 402) with two levels, and plenty of space. First floor (after walking up a set of stairs) has a WC, massive shower/tub area with lounge area, and the top level has a wet bar, bedroom, closets and second WC. The new decor is quite nice--ivory shades and red accents. (previously vivid green walls etc)

Good service at check-in and excellent service at Ada Restaurant. Our meal was perfect from the amuse bouche to our entrees (skipped dessert--no room!)

Desk staff is very accommodating, professional, friendly. Doormen are so nice!

The bath is superb! Large tiled open shower, whirlpool tub and a wrought iron swing at a dressing table area. It's a little odd to have a sitting area there but what else would you put there?
Internet was reliable and complimentary.

Cons:
Breakfast is not what it used to be. No Bohemian Sekt (bubbly) included and getting a cooked to order breakfast was no longer an option to supplement the cold buffet. The do offer chafers of what might have been hot once, baked eggs, some sausages/bacon, and that ubiquitous baked bean thing that we don't eat for breakfast in the States.
I really couldn't wait to come to eat on the first morning, but was quite disappointed.

Our suite had nearly dead flowers in it (included in our pkg) which took 2 days to get rid of, but not replaced.
The bed is somehow shorter than a normal bed--it's a "king" made of twins but I found my feet over the end most of the night and the mattress junction is not comfy.

The Stone Bath Spa package should NOT be missed! Do the combination--it's pretty reasonable and a very unique experience.

We like to proximity for trams and access to Mala Strana and the Castle District and were not aware of traffic noise. (do wish we had a good view of something, tho!)

Not sure if I'd return to HH next time; it will depend on the price and what "moves" me.
We go to Prague often and HH is a special place, but the little disappointments took a toll this time. Maybe my expectations were too high? It has changed

Room Tip: Go for the superior suites!
