I would go back to Prague just to stay at this hotel. It was wonderful in every way. I won't echo the comments of others as they speak for themselves. What a wonderful sanctuary amidst a bustling city.

I chose this hotel because of the great reviews it had received. Every appreciative word was true. By a simple email request in advance, the hotel arranged for a car to meet us at the airport. The staff at reception could not have been more welcoming, including with the glass of champagne. Our room was perfect in every respect. Although fully refurbished, the history of the building adds an interest to the hotel. We felt very safe in the location which is in walking distance of all historic sites, and close to excellent restaurants recommended by the hotel for dinner. The superb buffet breakfast, available from 7-11 am, was included in the room rate which I booked through hotel.com. We found all the staff most attentive and friendly. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

I stayed at this lovely hotel from late July to early August 2013 and was impressed by the helpfulness and friendly attitude of all the staff working there. The breakfast was an excellent standard both quality and value for money. It was in a quiet street right on the edge of the Old City and a short walk to the River and iconic bridges. Reception staff were all fluent in several languages including English and were easily able to book tours and help me find my way around.

Room Tip: I requested a room over the courtyard at rear of hotel as I was aware that on the oposite side of th...

What a lovely and peaceful hotel, right in the heart of town! The location cannot be beat; somehow a totally quiet street but just steps away from all the main routes and sights, on the edge between Old and New Town. The decor is lovely; soothing and modern light tones, yet warm and romantic as well. Lots of nice extra service touches; like a pair of welcome champagne drinks upon arrival, some hors d'oeuvres in the lobby in the afternoon, free bottled water in the room. It was my boyfriend's birthday, and without even asking they gave him a free liqueur as a gift and champagne drinks at breakfast! How kind is that!

The room was spacious, with high ceilings, clean and modern with a great bathroom and comfy beds. My only small quibble is that the room temperature never got very warm, even when we turned up the heat setting, but it wasn't cold or uncomfortable by any means either. The street is so quiet and I never heard my neighbors either; I slept soundly. They even have an American electric shaver outlet in their hair dryer which was a godsend in charging my cell phone.

Breakfast is very nice, with the option of ordering a pancake or omelet in addition to the wide buffet array. Free wi-fi in the rooms and also a computer for sharing in the lobby, and some nice sitting areas in the interesting hotel layout (spread across a former convent).

You can't get much safer with the location (in an already safe city) since you're right next to the police department. This really is a perfect hotel for Prague.

Room Tip: I think all of them are quiet since even the street side has virtually no noise.

We have just arrived back having spent 3 nights at the Unitas in Prague. We chose the hotel based on previous reviews and we were not disappointed. It is so easy to get to by public transport and is situated in a quiet street (opposite a police station) but only 5 minutes walk from the bustling old town square and the same to Wenceslas Square. Also the tram stop was just around the corner from where you could get a tram right up to the castle.
We were greeted with champagne on arrival and all the receptionists on duty while we were there spoke good english and were extremely pleasant and helpful. Indeed we were upgraded to a larger suite which was great. The choice for breakfast each morning, both hot and cold, was plentiful and set you up for the day.
Also included was free wifi throughout the hotel.

Prague is a lovely city and staying in the Unitas made it all the better. Would recommend the Unitas for anyone heading to Prague!

My husband and I stayed here for three nights on our 10 year anniversary vacation to Europe. We couldn't have been happier... The champagne upon our arrival, very courteous front desk receptionists, topped by a surprise upgrade to a larger suite made for a perfect start to our vacation. The breakfast was amazing with so much to choose from and the rooms are quiet due to old thick walls of previous convent. 5-10 minute walk to the main square...we definitely recommend this hotel.

We arrived at the Unitas, once a Convent, well ahead of the published check-in time but nevertheless received a warm welcome along with an explanation that the room was still being prepared. The Receptionist offered to store our luggage whilst we conducted an initial exploration of Prague.
On our return to the hotel we were greeted with an ice-cold glass of champagne and our luggage was retrieved from its safe storage. Check-in was a brief formality and included an introduction to the hotel's facilities and services - all given in excellent English.
The room was large and the en-suite bathroom almost as big. The location of the Unitas, away from the main thoroughfares gave it an incredibly peacefulness but the highlights of the Old Town and it's plentiful and diverse range of bars and restaurants was just short stroll away.
We expected breakfast to be the usual continental fayre but it was anything but! The buffet table 'groaned' under the weight of every conceivable item of morning food, breads, cheeses, meats, cereals, pastries and a range of hot food including some very local specialities. A limited number of a la carte dishes were also available to order. I gave up trying to empty my coffee cup before a member of staff would appear, as if by magic, to offer a refill.
The staff on the Reception desk were always willing to provide information on local attractions, to arrange bookings to special attractions or just call a reliable and timely taxi.
Our only (very minor!) criticism of this hotel is the absence of tea & coffee making facilities in the room. Instead there were 'Tea & Coffee Corners' on each floor. In our case that meant completing almost a full circumnavigation of the hotel!
Prague was well worth the visit and thanks to the great people in the Unitas a very comfortable stay also.
