“Worth considering”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 5, 2014

Stayed here for 4 nights B & B at end of April. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. We had a room on 4th floor looking into courtyard and it was spacious and had 2 chairs which often you find in hotels they give a double room but only one chair to sit on. The decor of the hotel could do with modernizing. Breakfast was buffet style and ample selection but breakfast room is not large and we found it busy if having breakfast at 8.30am. We did not eat in the restaurant because the locality (10 minutes form main square) of this hotel is such that you are only a few minutes walk from numerous places to eat. The lobby bar was dark and dismal so did not spend anytime there after our first visit. In the hotel details they say tea and coffee facilities in the room which is true but they give you the bear minimum, enough for one drink each and on two mornings they did not top it up and we had to go asking for more. Because of its locality would stay again as we were able to walk to all the main visitor places.

Room Tip: Do not have one at front of hotel facing the street

Very impressed with this hotel! I booked it a few days before our Prague trip and did not know a lot about it. Firstly, wonderful location - close to tourist attractions, shopping...however also quite a quiet area so not disturbed by noise. Close to a train station. Definitely recommend staying here! The staff were friendly as well - booked a car from the airport to the hotel through them.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights and had a wonderful experience. The hotel location is amazing. It is right next to the Powder Tower, which is the gateway to the Old Town Square. There are unlimited numbers of restaurants and bars near the Old Town Square. There is also a mall within a block of the hotel (Palladium) with various fast food restaurants and numerous stores like H&M, etc. There is a 7-11 type store across the street where you can buy alcohol, chips, snacks, cigarettes, shampoo, etc.

The hotel staff was great, too. They all spoke perfect English and we had no problems communicating. We needed a taxi a few times and the hotel staff gladly called one for us. The staff let us know about various tours and events in the area.

The rooms are ok. It is what I would expect within the price point. The rooms are decent sized. The pillows are the flattest pillows I have ever seen. The air conditioner did not work well, so we had to open the window on a few nights. When the window was open, we could hear some noise from other rooms who also had their window open such as loud talking, laughing, etc. However, the noise was not enough to be considered disturbing or annoying.

Overall, it was a great stay. Keep in mind it is not the Ritz, but it is absolutely perfect for the price paid. We will stay there again when we visit Prague.

We stayed in this hotel for two nights. The location is very convenient. Only 10 min walk from the main square. Good restaurants nearby.
The staff was nice and friendly, specially Klara, who gave us helpful advice.
The staff at the breakfast restaurant don't speak any English, but there were many choices of food. The breads were delicious.
The hotel has a paid parking garage so if you are traveling by car, you can leave it there and do everything by foot, bus or tram.

We recently stayed in this lovely hotel and were very impressed by the standard of the room and the whole hotel. The room was very comfortable and well decorated with everything you could need provided. There was a safe which was free to use in the room. The breakfast was excellent and was one of the best we have enjoyed in the many hotels we have stayed in. The choice was amazing, and it kept us full all day. One of the greatest things about this hotel is it's closeness to the city centre, with the main square less than 10 minutes walk away. There were 2 supermarkets close by, and the Airport Express bus stop and mainline railway station are minutes walk from the hotel. We really loved Prague and will definately be returning and staying at the Meteor Plaza Hotel again.

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. The location is just perfect, just next to the Powder Tower and Municipal House and 5 minutes from the old town centre. We did all the visits by foot, only took twice the tramway and subway. It is a good quality/price hotel: the room was cleaned and bathroom simple but renovated. However, we had a room with a double bed which was rather a bit small.
The breakfast offers a large choice of food, however the quality is not really there. I would only recommend the home made cakes. Beverages come from self service machine and orange juice is concentrated.
The reception staff is nice and helpful.
To conclude, good hotel for visiting Prague but do not go there if you look for a design/nicely decorated hotel.

This was our second trip to Prague taking some friends along with us, decided to stay at the Meteor plaza as we stayed there on our last visit albeit nine years ago,. the hotel was as we expected it to be and our friends enjoyed their stay there, staff we very pleasant and breakfast was a varied choice although being continental breakfast there was plenty of choice sausage ,bacon ,beans as well as cold meats etc... rooms were well furnished and the beds comfortable, there was free wi-fi for those that required it . and the location is excellent just a few minutes walk to tho the square , powder tower and shops .all in all a good choice of hotel for a short break...

Room Tip: Had a room facing the courtyard very quiet....
