I was looking for a romantic hotel to celebrate my anniversary. Finally, I found this beautiful, amazing and cozy hotel with a lot of features and romantic style.

Located in the top of a hill, in a cul-de-sac street. This is an amazing place where you can retreat and rest after a long walk through the Prague streets.

The hotel will definitely put in the romantic mood and will give you the opportunity to travel back in time. Easy access and close to some of the main tourist places (Loreta Monastery and Treasury, Strahov Monastery and the Prague Castle (Prazsky hrad).

The rooms are spacious and well distributed. Well equipped with all you can need during a short stay. The hotel staff is amazing and they will make you feel at home!

We recommend breakfast in bed and a nice drink on their terrace! :)

We will definitely recommend it and we will surely come back!!!

Thank you for a memorable holiday !!

Room Tip: They are all good!

So it's located near the castle and it's on a quiet back alley in Old Town, but if you don't mind walking a bit, this hotel is awesome. The staff was courteous; the rooms were clean; and little bar/cafe was a great place for a glass of beer or wine before heading out for dinner. The hotel staff have a car available for guests if you need, but my wife and I walked everywhere in Prague. The shower was small (in typical European fashion), but the bed was lovely. We didn't bring our children, but it would have been fantastic to have had our older two there (7 & 9 years old). Overall, great place. We'll definitely stay again when we return.

Have you dreamed of visiting the Bohemian countryside, but don’t think you will have the time? Fear not, with a bit of luck and advance planning (as reservations are hard to come by), you can stay at an 18th century Bohemian Chalupa (country house) located just a ten-minute walk from Prague Castle. Nestled at the end of Nový Svět, quite possibly the most picturesque cobblestoned street in all of Prague, and just steps from the Loreto Church and Foreign Ministry, this is a romantic and idyllic place to spend a few days. The rustic interior features exposed-beamed ceilings, stone and brick walls, dark furnishings, and even traditional Blue Onion china – all highly representative of what a true Czech country house looks like. The only difference is that here you will also find all the modern conveniences you might wish for, including air conditioning (which surprised me). The proprietor, Mr. Alexander Paul, is a renaissance man who is often on hand not only to assist you but also to share stories and recommendations over a nice glass of brandy in their charming café. Mr. Paul purchased the house in 1987 (two years before the fall of Czech communism), for a sum equivalent to €3000 – a huge money back then, but I’m sure you’ll agree he made a brilliant real estate investment. Design 18th-century Bohemian Chalupa (country house), complete with upscale rustic interior details.

Eating In
Breakfast: 07:30–10:00 Buffet, plus a limited à la carte menu. Try the scrambled eggs with onions, they were delicious! In the summer, breakfast is served in the garden.

Café: 14:00–19:00 The café, which features a wood burning fireplace, is cozy and delicious. I recommend trying the Apple Strudel with Vanilla Sauce, which is made daily by the owner’s wife.

Table Request: Ask to sit by the window, so you can look up the cobblestone street at the wonderfully colorful medieval stucco homes.

Room Service: 7:30–10:00 / 12:00–18:00

Staying In
In the spring and summer months, enjoy the garden. It is a tranquil escape from the city, with a great view of the foreign ministry building from the upper terrace. If you want to stay in and watch a movie in bed, be prepared to supply your own DVD; they can be purchased at local tabáks (newspaper shop) for approximately 79 CZK.

Also Worth Noting
Rooms do not include robes; if that’s a sticking point, you’ll need to pack your own.

Fun & Fabulous Feature
How about a ride around Prague in a 1931 Model A Ford (imported from Ohio), with Mr. Paul as your driver and guide? During the months on April through October, this can be arranged for 2000 CZK per hour.

You can also arrange a barbeque in the garden for up to eight people (one day advance notice required). I cannot think of a more fabulous place in Prague to enjoy a traditional Czech barbeque, including such classics as sausages, krkovička (marinated grilled pork), toasted Czech bread and, of course, beer.

We am sorry for the late review due to our busy schedule but we MUST add our review as we harboured wonderful memories of our stay on 14 November 2012!
Located in Hradcany, it took our breath away when we reached the place. Very romantic, peaceful and warm, cornered by wood and brick structure. We were warmly greeted by Mr Alexandr Paul and his helper whom helped us to our room. We settled in Superior Luxury double room with Fire place, Winter garden and well. It included breakfast and we requested to be served to our room. The whole room was spotless! No worries about wifi, its free plus we were surprised to find a laptop for usage too!! We took ten minutes brisk walk on a path of paving stones to Prague Castle. Another breathtaking view of Prague and Hradcany (",) Our night stay was so beautiful by the charmingly decorated fire place. From the winter garden, we can even lift up our heads to watch the sky through a glass roof! We took pictures to add in and sum up our review. But it will not end here as we will be back ~

What an incredible boutique hotel. Quite honestly, this is THE best hotel we have ever stayed at. It's located on a quiet edge of Prague where outside the front of the hotel are those classic, narrow, winding cobblestone streets with stunning ancient buildings. There is also a beautiful park nearby and you're a walk away from all of the main downtown Prague action.
We understand that this is the last standing log house in all of Prague and it was built in the 1700's. They have updated this house with awesome furniture, art objects and the best use of lighting I've seen in hotel. Many little touches that really add up.
First night we were in a smaller room on the main floor which was excellent except that we had a lot of luggage and planned on staying there for a week. So, we asked to a larger room and the manager was very helpful in relocating us. We wound up on the 2nd floor with a room overlooking the city and it was so cozy and beautiful.
The staff are amazing. Marta and Jan were great and there is also an nice restaurant on the main floor. Perfect for a full breakfast before you go out sight seeing.
I could go on and on about this place. So, if you are going to Prague, stay here! You will not be dissapointed.

Room Tip: All rooms are awesome. If you're going to stay for more than a couple nights though, you may want to ask for one of their larger rooms.
