Owner description: The most significant square of historical Prague, it was founded in the 12th century and has been witness to many historical events. In addition to the Old Town Hall and the Church of Our Lady before Týn, the square is dominated by the Baroque Church of St Nicholas, the Rococo Kinský Palace, the Gothic House at the Stone Bell and the monument to Jan Hus. In the pavement of the square are memorial stones marking the execution of 27 Czech lords in 1621, and the Prague meridian.

A treat awaits you with this lovely city, fabulous old town and castle, the Ultimate Prague trip with Nina is fantastic and fun. A ride round the old town and jewish quarter is really special. The Charles bridge is crowded but worth going to. Excellent boat trips and Trams

I posted this also on Old Town. Old Town Square was a happening spot. Whether you are a college student or adult, you certainly have a good time. There are alot of restaurants, bars and vendors to keep the square a hopping place even late at night.

Old Town Square was a happening spot. There were so many restaurants and bars and vendors that we enjoyed it. Usually when walking to different attractions, we always ended up passing Old Town Square.

Lots of people, I've heard this is a busy pick-pocket area. Certainly there were a lot of "walking ATM's" there, which I found to be curious. The would offer differing exchange rates and just walk up to you. I've heard that they get you to take out your cash and then run with it. Beware! Old Town square is full of life, animation, and history.

My favourite historical square. A 'must see' if you go to Prague ! Visit the church, and go to the top of the Astronomical Clock Tower, for amazing views. Watch / listen to the clock, on the hour. Drinks etc, are more expensive in the square, but worth having at least one, to soak up the atmosphere of the place.
