We stayed in this hotel twice an April, 2013. It was three days at the first time and one day at the second.

Definetly Hotel Paris has a very good location. It takes few steps to get to the Republic Square and a couple minutes to Powder Gate - one of the most famous touristic points in Prague.

So there were all good things about Hotel Prague.

Let wont talk about stars standards, may be somebody can think that Paris is 5 stars hotel, but I don't.

I think in a 5 stars hotel reception officer doesnt sleep even at 6 am.

5 stars hotel has a new iron and clear iron desk.

5 stars hotel stuff knows that a king size bed is not the same that two twin beds staying together.

5 stars hote has more than one porter.

And, finaly, 5 stars hotel puts a dental kit into a bathroom. And even it doesnt put, the hotel doesnt sell the kit (drop of toothpaste and microbrush) for 200 crones. Shame on you!

And I can advise to avoid choosing a room on the second floor. Early morning it was noisy, it was like early food delivery or something else. But I can recommend you room on the 4th floor, there was a quite nice balcony with a nice view.

And dont visit Sarah Bernard restaurant, it was disgusting!

Room Tip: Avoid rooms on the second floor over the main entrance. Try to get the room on the 4th floot with ba...

I had read several cautionary tales about taxis in Prague so i emailed the hotel before arrival and they sent a car to the airport to collect us. This set the standard for the level of service during our stay, which was second to none.
This is just such a lovely hotel, the decor is amazing. Think this is the only hotel i have stayed at with double doors into the room !! The room itself was spacious, as was the bathroom, which was beautifully tiled in black and white. It may have been cold outside but the room was lovely and warm, and the beds were so comfortable.
The dining room was quite wonderful, pristine white table cloths, and a first class breakfast buffet that really set us up for the days sightseeing.
The hotel couldnt be better located, just moments from the Old Town Square where we enjoyed the delights of the Christmas Market by day and in the evenings sat cosily wrapped up sipping mulled wine in front of the famous Astromonical clock, watching on the hour. It was also an easy walk from the hotel to Charles Bridge.
Prague is such a beautiful city, and it was a pleasure and a privilege to stay in one of its finest hotels.

Hotel Paris is one of the most beautiful hotels we have been, and we have seen quite a lot. Let's start with the Art Deco design. Just beautiful. There is no corner without a detail. Continue with location: 50 meters from the pedestrian area and shopping centers, 400 meter from center of old town (the beautiful clock), add another 500 meter and you are on Karl Bridge. Location we told you? The breakfast is worth to wait for it in the morning. Ah, it is served in Sarah Bernardt Restaurant, with matching Art Deco decoration. And last but not least: the staff. Always willing to go the extra mile to give not only a superb service, but also to let you feel the most important customer. A special word for Cristina, that helped us with the chek in to our flight. She was great and helpful. Just an outstanding representative of a great staff.
Just a comment: it is apitty that due to exchange rate policy and differences between the local currency and the Euro, the final bill did not match the original reservation: the original price was in Euro and it was stated that the price will be fixed in Krunas. Bit we never got the price until check out. Not a bog deal of difference but enough to spoil only bit a wonderful experience.

Prague itself is very interesting. However, it is most disappointing that people can smoke almost anywhere. Many good meals spoiled as a result. Complaints to management of no avail. So be warned. Keep complaining to the powers that be that Czech Republic is way behind the times.

Dear guest, thank you for sharing your experience from Prague with other travellers. The smoking in many places is generally problem of the Czech republic for many visitors. We hope, that in case of returning to Prague in the future, you would choose our hotel for your stay again. With best regards
