I recently stayed at Hotel Jalta in Prague for 4 nights in March. This is a great property, as it's conveniently located closed to the city center, metro and within walking distance to many attractions. Here's a brief summary of my stay at this Property.

Check-in:
I arrived in the morning prior to check-in. I just got off a long flight and even though my original room was not ready for me- the front desk staff was nice enough to find a similar quality room on the same floor that was available for immediate check-in. It was great to have a quick rest and shower before exploring the city.

Quality/Rooms:
The room was large for European standards, with a lot of closet space. I had a room that faced the square (Superior room) which also had a small balcony. Unfortunately, it was too cold to enjoy the balcony- but it was nice to have the view of the square. At night, it could be a little loud- but never kept me awake at night. The room was nice, but dated compared to other hotels of similar star quality. The bed was quite comfortable and large but my room had a weird smell of body odor (I assume from the previous customers). I was forced to keep the door open the entire time of my stay to air the room out.

Location:
This was the perfect location right in the heart of Wenceslas Square. I felt I could walk anywhere in Prague in 10-15 minutes and never even had to use the metro (which is located 300 meters from the hotel!)

Overall, this hotel is nice but is starting to show its age. While my room was clean and the bed was soft- the smell in the room was off and weird and forced me to keep the outside door open the entire time. In addition, the shower didn't drain properly and I felt like I was standing in 6 inches of water during my entire shower. Other than that, I would probably stay at this property again due to the fantastic location and price!

Hotel very good. The rooms were clean and the facilities within the room good. The gym was being renovated so we were unable to try. The resturant was good particularly the fish. The staff on the desk spoke excellent english as did the resturant staff. They were helpful in organising trips without a mark up.We are in the liminal part of our life and therefore, not as mobile as we once were, this hotel had good lifts etc.

Room Tip: Stay in the front if you want a view over Wensaslass square. However rooms at back are very quiet.

Room
Large room, balcony with an amazing view onto the Square - bit cold to sit on the balcony, but nice to have.

Service
Reception staff lovely, and all spoke practically perfect English. All very

Food
Breakfast was pretty standard - nothing wrong with it, nothing to write home about either.

Lunch was part of the conference: don't really think the hotel is set up for this. The food was lovely, but they treated it like a leisurely pleasure lunch: we only had an hour to stay on schedule for the day, and rarely was lunch completed in this tie: for example on day one we were waiting twenty minutes for our starters - not really good enough.

Business Facilities
Conference rooms are mostly small - with one huge suite.

WiFi signal weak in a lot of the hotel which could be a pain - they have a lot of different connections and you'd end up switching between them.

Kept well stocked with water, tea & coffee etc.

Location
Right on the New town square, about a ten minute walk from the Old Town. I was there mid-week: apparently it does get noisy and full of stag parties at the weekend, so may not be the ideal place for a quiet weekend break. But can't say for sure as not there over one!

Have just had a four night stay in Prague & stayed in the Jalta Hotel, Great hotel & even better location, staff were very friendly & spoke excellent english. Room was great & bed very comfortable. Food very good, in fact could not fault anything. Would definitely recommend it. Could recommend the bagel house over Charles Bridge from Old Town, first turning on the left. Follow this road round & this will lead you to the John Lennon Wall. Also the Blue Duck in Lesser Town is great for a special treat. There is also a Blue Duck in Old Town as well.

We have just returned from a short stay at the hotel jalta and would highly recommend staying there.
The staff spoke excellent English were friendly and went out of there way to make your stay enjoyable.
The Hotel is very clean and modern.see there web sight for picture and facilitys.
Our room was at the front of the Hotel overlooking the square, it was again clean, fresh and modern. the bed was very comfortable and facilitys excellent, included free safe,tea/coffee facilitys,tv only english news channels but you can use the pay per view to watch english films/ programs.
The room was fully air conditioned, has a mini bar, direct telephone, even bath robes and slippers.
Again the bathroom was very clean modern with bath/shower, power point hairdryer, clean fresh towels changed daily and complimentary toiletries.
There is free WiFi with good connection speed.
Breakfast was served in the connecting restaurant, its a buffet style sevice with everything you could possibly want.
Your central to the shops, restaurants and places of interest.
Getting to your room is via 2 safe modern lifts but if you don't like lifts there are stairs but can be quite challenging.
Only negative i saw was rooms facing the rear of the hotel the veiw is not great.
I would definatly stay here again

Room Tip: Ask for room overlooking square.

Perfect location! Easy walking distance to most sites. Prague castle, I recommend taking public trans there but walk back. Beautiful walk.
There are several restaurants within a few blocks. And just about any cuisine you'd want. The hotel has a breakfast. It was good but could do with a little more variety.
It was easy to exchange US dollars to Czech Koruna's at the front desk.
The room was clean and nicely lite. The bed was good too. Also, had a nice view of the boulevard below and no noise problem.
Only thing I didn't like was their elevators. Would have avoided them but my room was on the 7th floor. Small, dark and felt a little iffy at times.
Little tip when in Prague: most of there grocery/convince stores are next the subway. Tricky to find.

This hotel is in a great location (right in the centre in Vaclavske namesti), the rooms are renovated, clean, good size and bed really comfortable. The bathroom is good size, modern, nice and warm, with great shower and L´Occitane cosmetics.
I had a room facing onto the square, but it was still very quiet. The staff are very friendly and helpful, always smiling and happy to assist with anything you may need (and they have very good English).
I stayed just for one night on business, but would have happily stayed longer and there is wifi available through the hotel.
I managed to get one of their winter offers, by booking with them directly, which included delux room, late check out, chocolate cake and punch and one way transfer to the airport, which at approx Euro 84 is a bargain for such a lovely hotel right in the centre.
Some people comment about the breakfast - it wasn´t a big deal for me, there was a good selection of bread/ham and cheeses and some cooked breakfast too, it was not the biggest selection but perfectly adequate.
I would definitely recommend it, whether for business or holiday and I would stay there again
