“A good value hotel in a good location”
Reviewed January 17, 2013

A nice comfortable hotel that is in a very good location in Prague. Skilled at handling tours and also very nice service for older travellers. The breakfast is top notch. It is good value for the price and was enjoyed by the seven adults in our family in December 2012. Unless you are looking for a very high end hotel this one provides the comfort, sevice, location and ambience that dicerning travellers will enjoy.

Dear CFEQH,
thank you very much for sharing your experiences with other travellers.
It is great to read that you enjoyed very much our breakfast buffet. Actually the whole restaurant including the design of the buffet was refurbished in March last year. Afterwards we opened the restaurant Primator with a new refreshed breakfast concept. Since than we receive very positive feedback like yours.
I hope we will see you again in our wonderful city.

We were actually booked at the President next door, but decided to move to a genuine 5 star hotel and as the Intercontinental was so close we asked them for a room. The staff were extremely professional and helpful, nothing too much trouble and always a greeting. All aspects of our stay here were excellent and of the standard we would expect from this hotel chain. Would chose this hotel again without hesitation when visiting Prague.

Room Tip: If you intend to use the spa / pool the best access is apparently from the 6th floor.

Dear Nijinsky53,
thank you very much for your feedback on tripadvisor. I am very happy that you moved over to our hotel and that we were able to satisfy your needs. Actually you have from most of the floors a direct elevator to the health club.
I hope you will have the chance to visit our beautiful city next time during the summer to enjoy the other side of this romantic city.
See you soon !

Had a wonderful time in Prague, and this hotel was part of it! It has a fabulous location to all the main attractions in the city. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was spacious and clean with lovely amenities. My friend and I both used the spa services which we both enjoyed- the pool area is very nice. We skipped the breakfast (very expensive) to wander in the neighborhoods for coffee and rolls. The great surprise was our own private NY's Eve fireworks show, right outside the window of our room at Midnight. Hooray!

Room Tip: We had a room facing towards Old Town Square. It was roomy and fine. It was winter and the heating w...

Returned here for a 2 night stay this December (2012) and found the hotel to be as good as ever.We were given the option of a very reasonably priced upgrade which gave us an extremely large room with great facilities. We found all staff whether reception, concierge or restaurant to be most pleasant and helpful. The rooftop dining room is certainly not to be missed - wonderful view, attentive service, delicious food and all for a very reasonable cost. Of course the hotel location is ideal for any walking tours or shopping. We would never look anywhere else for accommodation in Prague.

What an amazing hotel, have just returned from a 3 night stay at the IC Prague. This hotel is probably one of the best IC Hotels we have stayed at. The reception staff were so helpful and cheerful, the room was amazing, great views, everything that was required, luxury bathroom and spotlessly clean. The Club Lounge was great with helpful staff and endless supplies of snacks and drinks. My partner requires a Gluten Free menu and the Hotel ensured that there were daily choices and freshly cooked breads etc, this is a first and we really felt very spoilt. The Leisure suite was large with all facilities including a very nice relaxation area. The Hotel organised airport transfers which were seamless. All in all a great break at an amazing Hotel

Room Tip: High floors have great views, very quite and access to Club Lounge

Dear Andrew R,
I am so thankful for your great feedback at tripadvisor. Especially that you mention positive our staff on our Club InterContinental, makes me proud. We just refurbished the Lounge, but without the great staff members we would not be able to have satisfied guests like you. They can make the difference by being flexible and caring about our guests needs, as they did in your case.
I hope we will get the chance to see you again.

Intercontinental Prague has a great location for seeing the sights. Old town square only 5 minutes walk and castle within sight of hotel.

The room was plush! Decor was expensive, room very clean and all mod cons. Mini bar was very over priced though. Much better off using your own supplies.

Swimming pool and gym were both very good. Breakfast had plenty of choice.

Excursions based at hotel were more expensive than finding your own and doing a bit of a research on trip advisor before you go.

Staff were very helpful and efficient but need to smile more!

However overall would recommend.

We have just spent New Year at the Intercontinental where we had a fabulous time. It is in a great location near the Old Market Square and St Charles Bridge and a little further with an uphill walk to Prague Castle or use the tram which is very cheap and run every ten minutes (number 22), The room was clean and the bed very comfortable and over looked the river Vitiva The staff were very attentive and polite and responded to all our needs.. We reserved the Czech Gourmet package which includedl a meal in the Ziata Praha restaurant which was beautiful and the views over the city made it a very romantic night along with the little extras sent from the chef. Loved every minute and cannot wait to visit again.

Dear Jacqui O,
thank you so much for your wonderful feedback on tripadvisor. The time around Christmas and New Year is really special in Prague, since the city is very nicely alluminated everywhere. To enjoy that in our roof top restaurant is definitely very special.
We offer there also a great New Years Gourmet dinner, which was this year already very early sold out, but think about it next year.
We cannot wait to see you again !
