The castle area is like a labyrinth, lots of dead end walkways. Not to many ways to get in or out...so be sure to have a guide.

Really enjoyed the history behind the whole area, not so much just the castle. Worth the visit, an the small fee to tour the bigger sites within.

This was a great experience to start the day. We opted to take a cab from the Hilton up here and ended up walking back. The church is truely epic, and the golden shopping street with Franz Kafka's old house is neat. The my nieces really liked the handsome Chezch guards in their light blue uniforms who are more than willing to pose for pictures.

Great city views as well.

A person could easily spend hours here viewing the city skyline, but the Castle has so much more to offer-- the St. Vitus Cathedral, the Basilica and the Royal Palace-- among others. It is easier to take public transportation or a taxi to the Castle and then walk back down the hill to the center of the city. Have a good pair of walking shoes and water in the summer then spend the day soaking in the history of the Czech Republic and the beauty of Prague.

Unless you are very interested in Czech History and know the language, choose the "short visit": Old Royal Palace, St Vitus and St George.
Beforehand, get a good guide book; the audio guide costs more than the entrance ticket.
