“My favorite neighborhood to stay in Prague”

Absolutely charming, plenty of green space, and quieter than Old Town; great location right in between the Castle Quarter and Old Town/New Town/Jewish Quarter.

“location location”
Reviewed August 9, 2014

great base right at Charles Bridge. Our hotel was just at the bridge. Tram 22 from the square takes you straight to castle. You can, if you like, get off at the castle hunting lodge as the gardens are quiet and beautiful, A short walk, with different perspective of St Vitus takes you to castle. A thirty minute tram ticket costs 24K. Over 70s travel free.

“Great anbience”

Reminiscent of Montmartre Quartier in Paris. The walk around and down to the riverside and the Charles 1V bridge had a great ambience, especially after dark Very safe area.

“Pretty and less crowded”
Reviewed August 7, 2014

If you go up after the bridge, it will get much more quiet than the hectic Old Town Square. The buildings are pretty with soft colors and cobblestone streets. A lot of restaurants and souvenirs along the way, but still nice to stroll around here.

“Mala Strana”
Reviewed August 7, 2014

Well worth a visit. Wallenstein Gardens and Senat are free to visit and the gardens are lovely. Also worth taking Tram 22 from this area for a good overall view of the city. A 90 minute ticket (32 cz crowns) should cover the each way route.
