Owner description: One of the most historic sections of Prague, the Lesser Quarter features many Renaissance burghers' houses, baroque palaces, narrow lanes and spacious squares.

Mala Strana has everything you need in Prague and is my most favorite quarter of Prague. The narrow street with their street lightning is like stepping hundred of years back. It's like beiging in a story straight out of a Charles Diken's book. Malay Strana is full of small shops, cozy cafés and great restsaurants but beware of Palffy Palac. It used to be the crown of restaurants in this area and I always ended a great Prague trip there. But no more!

Less touristed than Old Town Square. Lots of beautiful buildings on cobbled streets. Beautiful Baroque Vrtbovská zahrada garden hidden down alleyway on Karmelitska street recommended.

Our hotel was in Lesser Quarter. I love this place. It is quieter than the Old town but still as historic. We made lots of friends here and there are lots of nice places to eat. The tram service at Malostranska was where we returned to our hotel at night.

I have been here a couple of times, but I really have not discovered what all the fuss about. It is a typical tourist district near a historic area, similar to the area surrounding the Louvre and Tuilleries in Paris. It seems attractive but actually nothing much there.

Called Lesser Quarter, but in fact, better quarter. We stayed in this part of the city and loved it. The views are awesome, the food diverse and shoping great.
