“Charming & quiet alternative to Prague's Old Town”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 5, 2012

We stayed at the Hotel Julia in the Lesser Quarter for a three-day visit in the fall of 2012. Prague's public transportation provides cheap and efficient transport to more famous tourist sites across the river in the Old Town and New Town sections of the city. There's plenty to see and do in the Lesser Quarter, including baroque churches, parks, a funicular to a 1/5 size replica of the Eiffel Tower, riverfront strolls and pleasant neighborhood dining. If you are visiting Prague, you should definitely tour (or stay) in the Lesser Quarter as part of your trip.

“Lesser town”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 3, 2012

At the end of the Chales Bridge is the lesser town.
Full of shops and restaurants, including one that does a proper cup of english tea!!
The castle is in the lesser town up a steep hill.
St Nicholas church is also well worth a visit for a small entrance fee.

“Just walk around...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 2, 2012

If you're in Prague you don't have to make an effort to find something interesting or historical to see, you really have to just walk around and you will find an infinity of small paths and wonderful buildings.

“My favorite part”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 2, 2012

This area was great. There were less tourists and it still had all of the beauty of Prague! The stores are cheaper and the people are friendlier!

“Great area to walk around”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 1, 2012

We stayed at the Hotel Pod Vezi which located just to the riight of the tower at the end of the bridge on the Mala Strana side of the river. It's a great place to just wander around the narrow sreets. Lots of interesting shops.great little restaurants.Very busy on the main street when coming off the bridge but go down the sides streets and it will get a lot less busy. St. Nicholas Cathedral is beautiful and worth taking some time to see. If your fit enough walk up to the castle. You may find a resaurant you may want to stop at or come to later. Go see the John Lennon wall. It's a wall that was first used as a fourm of protest during the communist rule. Now it's like a large colorful message board of hope and peace. Just walk around ,sit down and have a bite to eat and people watch ,just enjoy.
