“Organ & Opera concerts”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 24, 2013

Great small church that offers daily 1 hour long concerts for 350 Czech crowns. The only problem being that the pews do not face the organ loft from wehere the singer delivers their performance.

“An absolute must, unless somebody is dead-set against baroque art.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 24, 2013

The architects, of the Dienzenhofer family, were foremost representatives of the flourishing late baroque architecture in Bohemia and adjacent Franconia, and this is one of their greatest works. Monumental in scale, splendid in manipulation of spaces and vaults--just the statuary does not quite come up to standard, but frescoes very good and the nave has visibly profited from a recent restauration.

“Church with entrance fee”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 24, 2013

£7 entrance fee so with four of us we didn't bother to go in which is a pity for them and us. I'm happy to pay a couple of pounds but no more

“We went up the tower!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 23, 2013

Over 300 stairs....but its worth the view!! There is a deck near the top that you can walk out on to get a 360 degree view that is amazing! From there you can go back in and climb the rest of the tower right to the top!

“A must see...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 23, 2013

Had no idea this church was quite so beautiful. It is 70K to enter and definitely worth it. There was a sign as we went in saying no pictures, but everyone was snapping away and the security guards didn't take any notice, so I guess it's fine!

Make sure you go up into the gallery, the view down into the church is fabulous and there are some gorgeous pieces of art to look at. We spent a very peaceful hour here and would say it is a must see.
