“Loved this charming hotel in Prague”
Reviewed September 28, 2013

This hotel is the width of our spacious room and about 6 stories high. A tall thin building squeezed between other buildings on the edge of Old Town and in keeping with the feel of Old Town. Very convenient location. The staff went out of their way to be helpful. Breakfast was ample and good. It is on a plaza which is busy in the daytime but very quiet at night. We would not stay anywhere else in Prague.

Room Tip: This is a quaint hotel with a tiny lobby.

What a great hotel and really friendly helpful staff (Thanks for all your help Peter!). Only 15 minutes walk from the train station, 10 minutes from Charles bridge and just around the corner from Wenceslas Square. Spacious, stylish room with comfortable bed and great buffet breakfast including cereals, cooked foods, fruit selection, cold meats & cheeses, croissants, etc. The staff were very friendly and make you feel very welcome. If we return to Prague, and I'm sure we will at some point, we'll be staying here for sure. We stopped on the 4th floor on the opposite side to the square and had a good nights sleep every night.
Negative points? None!
Highly recommended.

The perfect location to start to discover Prague! The Hotel is very central. The rooms are spacious and very modern. The bathroom has no door, but it is just separated by a curtain. Nevertheless great design and functionality. Superb shower. The breakfast is good and has a good choice to start the day. Only the breakfast place in the basement is not too good. But as you are all the day outside it is a rather small thing and easy to overcome. The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful. If you arrive by car, then parking is an issue! You can only unload the luggage at the Hotel and then the best parking is in the Palladium Shopping center. There it is safe and parking is not too cheap! I paid for 3 full days 1800 Czech Krona! But at least I found the car in perfect state. All in all would recommend the Hotel and go again.

Room Tip: Make sure you get a room to the Jungmann place...

Couldnt have hoped for a better place to stay. When you walk into reception you cannot start to guess what awaits you. The rooms are superb, the shower sublime.Monika is a wonderful host and the delightful breakfast room with a large and very tasty selection of dishes is a pleasure to be in. If we go back for Xmas Fairs the Jungmann is the only place we would want to stay.

My husband and I stayed here July 4-7, 2013. After doing a ton of research on where to stay and the best location to stay in, I landed on Hotel Jungmann. I must say, I was blown away by this boutique hotel. The modern and elegant lofted ceiling rooms were absolutely stunning. The lobby when you walk in has the look and feel of a wine cellar, and the front patio sprawls out into the square in front of the hotel making for a great spot to have a cocktail and people watch. The location is about a 3-5 minute walk from old town and the Charles Bridge. The hotel staff was superb and extremely accommodating. We ended up having drinks with a few of them one night on the front patio making us feel even more at home and relaxed. There is a loft in the building and the breakfast is served downstairs in a cave like room that amazing.

For those that are not traveling as a couple, our room had the shower and sink in the same room as the bed, just separated by a curtain that separates the bedroom from the bathroom/changing area.

Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here next time I am in Prague.

We arrived at our pre-booked hotel in Prague to be told that we could not stay there fit the first night since our room had been wrecked by previous "Italian" guests but that we could stay in another hotel nearby. We were relocated to the Jungmann Hotel which I would not have considered otherwise.

The first impression of the hotel from the outside is that it is small and rather old but how wrong this turned out to be.

To get to reception you walk through a small cafe/bar which exudes a studied but effective shabby chic with distressed wooden floors and genuine period decor.

The friendliness of the reception and greeting from the manager is quite disarming and our unsettled feeling from having an unexpected transfer soon dissipated.

The luxurious lift was a further clue that here was a hidden gem. The great surprise was our beautiful, modern, room. Immaculately presented with a lovely shower room directly off bedroom. (Room 204) This is superb accommodation at a very good price.

Breakfast is probably best termed as OK self service in an interestingly converted cellar.

Late night friendly service for coffee and pear schnapps capped a great experience.

The problem was that when we returned to our booked hotel the following day we preferred the Jungmann.
