“Best church I've ever attended”
Reviewed September 10, 2013

I lived in Prague for 6 years and miss St. Thomas the most! Father William has a Ph.D. in history, is very loving and open minded. I really miss his homilies! The community is very diverse and friendly - Czechs, Americans, Britons and people from various African countries to give you an idea. I highly recommend attending mass here. They have services in Czech, English and Spanish. I attended the English services on Sunday mornings at 11 am.

“A great little find!”
Reviewed July 24, 2013

A beautiful little church that has wonderful frescos. It looks closed but if you continue down to the end of the little lane there is an opening. From what I could make out admission is free but they would like you to try their order's beer and drink it in the garden when you are done with the visit. We do not drink but I made a donation and took a photo. Lovely.

“Friendly community and great priests!”
Reviewed February 28, 2013

I go to St. Tomas regularly when I'm in Prague, and I can say that the community is very welcoming and friendly. Plus, the church is amazingly beautiful inside. Try to see the historic St. Dorothy chapel, the oldest part of the monastery. Most of the parishioners in the English community are foreigners who go home for major holidays like Christmas, so holidays are often full of tourists instead of regulars, but it is a great community to belong to. It has the biggest English language children's religious education program in Prague, and Mass in Spanish, Czech and English. The priests are marvelous and there are a lot of charity and volunteer opportunities for people to get involved in- just ask a priest or parish council member!

“Beautiful, but unfriendly "brothers and sisters"”
Reviewed December 24, 2012

I went to Christmas mass at St. Thomas. Most of the people attending were Americans. It does not represent Americans in general, but children made noises during the mass, and people did not shake hands with me, who was obviously a foreigner. And this is Christmas eve! Staffs were not really friendly, either. So does this reflect the atmosphere of the church itself? I would try some other churches next year.

“Hardly noticed, but nice”
Reviewed November 20, 2012

This is not a very prominent church, with its entrance on a short dead-end street, and too close to the St. Nicholas cathedral in Mala Strana (which is magnificent) to be noticed. However, once inside, it is attractive, it has a beautiful pulpit and angels beside the altars, plus frescoes painted on the ceiling of the nave.
