“Superior service and quality food”
Reviewed April 30, 2013

We made a 9:00 p.m. reservation fairly last minute via email, and although we did not receive a confirmation, we went anyway. As it turned out, they had a private party that began at 2:00 p.m. and their intent was to close the restaurant after the party. When we arrived and saw the sign on the door regarding the private party, we were worried that we would need to find another restaurant for the evening. Instead of making us feel like an inconvenience, we were welcomed. We were assured the private party was wrapping up and that they would serve us. We were not once made to feel like we just unnecessarily extended their work day, but rather the service felt as if we were the first table of the evening not the last. The food was superb. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his beef tartare as his appetizer as I enjoyed the duck confit with fois groi. For dinner my husband had the fish of the day which was a local river fish and I had the beef served with parmesan risotto. Of course we completed the meal with a wonderful dessert of creme brulee. Despite our last minute reservation and showing up just prior to their intended closing time for the evening, we were not at all rushed and the service was superb. All of this for half the price of what I would pay back in Canada for the same meal. The food was well worth the rainy walk we had back to our hotel. I highly recommend this small, intimate restaurant.

“One of the Best Meals I've Ever Had (And at a bargain)”
Reviewed April 28, 2013

By far the culinary highlight of my trip to Europe. Had easily the best beef tartare (appetizer) and venison of my life. Those two and pancakes for dessert were under $30 (US). Walked right in, but the place had fewer than a dozen tables. Definitely a locals place. Only one waiter but great service. Overall I can't recommend this place enough.

“Good value!”
Reviewed April 16, 2013

This is an excellent bar close to the river and not far from the Old Town. We reserved the table via the website and the restaurant manager answered me in just few minutes.
The service is excellent although we waited for a while between the starter and the main dish. But this is something you will accept if you are not on a hurry.
A good selection of czech, french and italian wines. Two different beer brands+ non-alcohol one.

Great Parmesan risotto with beef steak. Excellent tomato risotto with shrimps. You can eat well for less than 1,000 Czech Crowns (2 people) including beer, 1 main dish each, sharing the starter+ a dessert.
