“Refreshing modern hotel in a classic gothic city ”
Reviewed July 10, 2014 via mobile

Facilities are outstanding and the decoration of the hotel is imaginative. The hotel is also in a very good location and easy to access all areas of Prague city. The breakfast was also very good and a good location for young travellers. The value for money is also very good and the staff in the hotel are all very helpful. The 360 degree bar is also imaginative and interesting.

Dear Hammylogan,

I would like to thank you for your positive words. Its nice to hear so many great things. Thank you for mentioning that we are imaginative. We have been thinking about this concept for so long. We really wanted to create something imaginative, something very different. And I am so happy to say that we were successful at the end and so happy that our guests are enjoying.
Best regards from fusion and thank you again

Stayed here with my wife and our 20 months old kid.

Overall, Fusion is a great budget place to stay. The positives are:

- Great location. Short walk to the main things in town. Everything can be reached on foot - 10-30 min walk.

- Nicely decorated rooms. We stayed at larger than average room, although the standard room, where our friends stayed, was smaller, but still, big enough for two.

- reception works 24 hours, no problem with that. Staff was good and spoke good Russian or English.

- WIFI worked without any problems. I'm a bit used to slow and unstable free wifi at most of the hotels nowadays, but was pleasantly surprised with Fusion.

- apple TV was a good touch

Now to the things that could be better, although, I wouldn't even call them bad points as they didn't really affect us that much:
- breakfast was ok, but choice was limited to bacon, eggs and beans + some bites. Enough for us as we don't really eat that much in the morning and for 3-4 days it was more than adequate.

- the hotel is not particular kids friendly, no baby cot available, no kettle in the room or cups etc. Again, we knew about it and our boy was sleeping in our bed. Not 100% comfortable, hence I would sleep on the sofa some nights, but it was ok. They had hot water at breakfast obviously, so we could use it.

- no room service. We don't normally use it, but this time, we were sitting in our room, drinking beers and our ladies were craving for some deserts... so ended up going down stairs, getting something from the bar. Not a big deal...

- no air-conditioning. That was the main let down. +35 outside and it was boiling in the room even at 0800-0900 in the morning. The guide says "we have a central climate control system", but in the real world it was not working. We've survived and I'm sure, the temperature in the room would have been comfortable enough if it was +20-25 outside.

All in all - we've enjoyed our stay. Thanks!

Room Tip: I'd recommend paying a little bit extra and going for one of their large rooms. Worth every EUR...

Breakfast was quiet good. Facilities were mostly modern . But! Lockers were broken and the bathroom door was hard to pull room #101. But all the room were occupied and i had to worry about my valuables and money during the stay.

There was a group of 6 fellas and we thoroughly enjoyed having a clean room and breakfast included. It was a neat place that was deceptively big. The modern design was well received after the dump we were at before.

Dear Scott,
thank you so much for your short but great opinion. It seems you enjoyed Prague a lot. I am glad that fusion was part of your nice experience.
Travelling with a group of friends is always so funny. I hope you spend some of your evening next to the river at Naplavka which is the most popular part of Prague in summer.
Best regards

Stayed for 3 nights in early June while Prague was having a hot spell.

First the good points. Our family group of two adults and a teenage child loved our "comfy triple"room and the location was perfect. An easy walk when we arrived from Budapest at the train station and yet very central to all the tourist areas in the city. The breakfast was also pretty good.

Now to the less good. A minor issue was the apple TV which was glitchy and complicated to use and had very few free channels worth watching. However, the main problem is that even though the building is a fairly recent renovation of a large old bank building and whilst the reception, lift lobbies and corridors are air-conditioned, the guest rooms are not. Our room was hot to the point of being stifling and sleep was difficult. The situation might have been more bearable if the rooms had ceiling fans and the windows could be left open, but although the windows could be opened, they did not have any way of being locked in position.. any sudden gust of wind could slam or smash them. After asking multiple times, a small free standing fan was eventually provided, which our three room occupants then fought over for the remainder of our stay... :-)

In summary I would avoid this hotel June - August but would be happy to come back at any other time of year...

Dear Diannehobart,
I would like to thank you for your lovely feedback. I am very happy that you had a great time and enjoyed your stay. As you say, I think that all the hotels offer a bed and a good night sleep but not all of them have friendly staff. Working in hospitality is like a mission for all of us and we just love it. Veronika joined our team just 3 months ago but I am so satisfied to have her on board. She is a great addition to our team.
Thank you again
Kind regards

Dear BigT139,
I am happy that you made the right choice and your friends were happy as well. I know it might feel like a big responsability when booking for everybody in the group..you dont really know what the others will think until the last minute. It must have been a great feeling of satisfaction for you that all the other lads loved the place. Congratulations to your choice. I am not feeling modest at all and you did the best choice.
We are already now looking for your next stay
Kindest regards from sunny Prague
