We enjoyed our trip on the river and canals we had many opportunities to take photos. Nice slow place, only lasted 45 minutes, not too long and had a English tour guide. Boats are not full, which made for a comfortable trip. Boats are covered, so we were out of the hot sun and rain showers. Price is very reasonable and includes a trip to the bridge museum.

The company offers a boat trip, a visit to Charles Bridge Tower Museum (not that spectacular), an ice cream and a drink during the trip for a price of 290 CZK. The tour takes place on a very authentic boat, guidance on several languages is optional - just take the boat that speaks the one you like, and accompanied by details told by the captain and drawings he shows you. You can enjoy a small glass of beer or a lemonade, and an ice cream or a ginger bread (for you to choose). You can't miss the tickets sellers at the Charles Bridge - wearing sailors uniform :)

Before I go into detail on the man who deserves a big shout out for making it so great, here's the lowdown on the experience.

Overall, cheap, cheerful, informative, probably goes on much longer than they tell you with delays filling the boats etc and you get your free beer and icecream at the beginning and then that's it. It's worth doing it but it won't be the highlight of your holiday.

We got onto a boat which offered the tour in Czech and French and we were the only two people on board who spoke English. It was either this boat which had no roof and was much nicer to sit on or the English speaking boat which was covered and you had to sit inside. It was a nice day so we said to hell with it!

What we didn't expect however was the man steering the boat, Jon I believe his name was, to notice that we spoke English and to give us a personal explanation of literally every aspect of Czech history and its politics etc which was hugely informative. Fair play to him, he was great. So enthusiastic and helpful, he could NOT have been any more helpful and pleasing. So we went from expecting to understand nothing to probably getting the most thorough tour of everyone who went that day! He even stayed back with us and gave us places to visit like a WW2 mueseum and spent some time mapping it out for us and all. What a guy. An absolute credit to the company. Thank you Jon!

Our covered boat ride was approximately 50 mins. Our guide was English and gave a historical
Explanation of the sights we were passing. Large photographs of the Charles Bridge in Winter and in time of floods were shown. All passengers were given an ice cream bar or cake. Water, sprite or a beer to drink. Apart from the trip down the canal, where we could see a working water wheel, everything we saw, you could see from standing on the Charles Bridge. If you need a rest from walking everywhere, this will give you a rest while you take in the sights.
If you want to see more, go for the longer tour.
