Excellent and entertaining trip on the river in these old fashioned little wooden boats. The guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic, and had a supply of old pictures of the city to further enhance his tales of the history of Prague, as well as good recommendations to surrounding restaurants and museums. The trip offers another view of a beautiful city, as well as a chance to relax for an hour and let the world float by. The mulled wine, beer or coffee and gingerbread were a nice surprise. Well worth the money.

A great way to get different views of the Charles Bridge and city.

A drink and piece of ginger cake included in the price.

The "captain" knows his stuff and gives a great description of buildings and history.
A little pricey for the 45 min trip, but worthwhile.

It's a good thing to do AFTER you've traveled and walked around the city.
From the boat - you'll have another perspective on things that you've already seen from the "ground" side.
It took about one hour. The boarding was right under the Charles bridge (the side that closer to the center).

This was a very nice boat tour recommended to us by the hotel (Four Season’s). As you are approaching the Charles Bridge, you will most likely see a few people in a traditional white & blue sailor suit. They are selling tickets to the tour. When you get on the boat, everyone is offered water and ice cream or gingerbread. Go for the ice cream, the gingerbread was just average. Adults are also offered beer, it is a small 6 oz. cup and you are only allowed two. The tour allows you to see the river, go under the Charles Bridge and into a small neighborhood without having to deal with going thru the lock system. The guide is very knowledgeable and being in a small boat allows you take some great pictures of the bridge, surrounding buildings and with a good zoom lens the metronome that replaced the Lenin statue. This is a nice way to relax (it is about two hours) and still see some sights after spending most of the day walking the city.

Great way to start a trip to Prague. Good value for money; lovely warm boat, mulled wine and ginger bread and very good tour guide/captain who gives you lots of interesting information about the river, buildings along it and lots of other helpful facts about the rest of the city.

Buy tickets from the very funny sailor guys on either side of the Charles Bridge.
