Owner description: The idea behind the Taste of Prague food tours is simple. You follow a local foodie. You eat the best dishes in Prague’s best restaurants frequented by the locals and talk about what you eat and why, and how the food, wine and beer reflects the society, the country and its history and present. We keep our tours fresh, small and personal. Come hungry. Stretch pants optional, but recommended.

I'm so glad I started my trip with the Taste of Prague tour! It is truly a unique way of visiting the city for the first time. Jan was very friendly and really took care of us during the tour. We got to visit really unique locations that weren't crowded with your typical tourists but really gave us a glimpse at the culture.

Not only does this tour take you to special locations but they give you great advice and tips for the rest of your stay! I don't think you could ask for a better guide when visiting Prague for the first time!

Just returned from Prague today and wanted to say how amazing this tour was! Our only mistake was to not do it at the start of the trip (we did it on the last nighr). Jan's information was invaluable and gave us some additional sights which we squeezed in on our last day - all of which were brilliant. Jan was a excellent guide and we all felt we got to see a different size to Prague that we would not have seen without the tour. Food was all superb and really pushed us to try some new things. Can't recommend it enough.

We had high expectations, especially having read the reviews here on Tripadvisor, but we must say Taste of Prague really delivered. This is unlike any tour we did previously. Our group was very small and the experience was really personal and nice. Jan is a great host and really makes you feel comfortable. The concept is a winner: great local food, small groups and engaging discussions. You can take a few hours' break from all the sightseeing but at the end you realize you've learned so much more about the city than you did through the sightseeing. The experience really makes you appreciate the city in an entirely new light and we loved this new perspective. We will come back just to do the recommended things we did not have time to do this time around.

Jan and Zuzi really made us feel at home in Prague. We loved how personal the approach is - we did not feel like "tourists" but as friends. After the end of the tour, Jan invited us to join him for coffee and meet Zuzi in their favorite cafe. We really felt like a part of the local community at least for a few hours and that really was the best part - it was clear we were not doing a tour through tourist traps but visited authentic, local favorites (the places were packed with locals).

The food served in the course of the tour was fantastic - some of the best we had throughout our European trip - and we would not have found or visited these places in the first place. It is clear Jan loves and understands food. The recipes at the end of the tour are a great touch - Zuzi and Jan want you to recreate at least some of the experience at home.

We loved the quirky and informative bits and pieces of information about the present life in Prague Jan gave us and we did follow their advice and absolutely loved the places recommended. If you're a seasoned traveller looking for an insider look at Prague and its food, this is a must.

I am so glad that we scheduled this tour for the 1st day that we arrived in Prague, the tour leader was so informative and knowledgeable about Prague. Jan was very personable and the history lesson that went along with the food tour was priceless. But the star of the show was definitely the food, it was all excellent by the end of the tour we were so full that we skipped dinner that night and just went straight for desert. We highly recommend this tour and suggest that you do it your 1st day in Prague. Thank you Jan you made our trip memorable.
