“Best meal in prague”
Reviewed August 15, 2013 via mobile

Words can not describe how good our meal was. The bread was fantastic and you could honestly not tell that it was gluten free. From there the meal only got better-- salmon tartare, Cesar salad, gnocchi with Gorgonzola sauce followed by the crepe. This is a must visit in Prague, especially if you are gluten free.

“oops...never again”
Reviewed August 8, 2013

It was first night in Prague for us and we have decided to eat in a safe place. This one had really good ratings. So we went there. And sorry...it was a mistake. Everything was so average: service, food, drinks...You can find much more better and hipper places in the neighbourhood. The restaurant is located in the basement, no sitting outside, very basic food...and the beer was just like everywhere else.

“Not just for gluten free”
Reviewed August 4, 2013 via mobile

Neither of us are caelliacs or gluten intolerant but decided to go here out of interest.

Needless to say this is the best restaurant we went to in Prague and it is very good value. Lovely cooked food and very nice gluten free bread. Was surprised as well how light the meal felt afterwards the waiter said that is a reason many choose to eat gluten free.

Overlook the fact it is not situated on the most desirable looking back street and you will find a real hidden gem.

2 mains, 2 large beers, 2 desserts and a bottle of mineral water came to 625CKR (£21/€24). We paid double this for a similar but less pleasing meal the night before.

Service was good food was yummy and we left in a very pleasant mood intending to return before the end of our trip.

“Fabulous”
Reviewed August 4, 2013

We went here based on other TA reviews and absolutely loved it. It's on an unattractive side street, and the interior isn't exactly warm and inviting. Don't worry about that - the food and wine were really wonderful - you'd never know the dumplings were gluten free. This was probably our best experience dining on Czech cuisine. Highly recommended.

“Great GF food but slooooooooow service though.”
Reviewed August 1, 2013

I want to give this 3.5 stars as this was the best food we had in our four days in Prague. I'll round down to three with the hopes that Na Zlate management will see this and want to do something about the service (because this could have [and should have] been a five star rating based on the food.

Food is splendid. Especially amazing for my wife who is on a gluten-free diet, but I thought it was great too. Apple strudel was amazing to finish. They seasoned the meat perfectly and cooked the pork on my dish to perfection.

Now for the bad.... The service was slow, slow, slow. And this was not just for us but the whole restaurant. After slow service the whole meal, they topped it off by making us sit and wait for our check for 25 minutes. We asked for it and then the waitress went off and did other things. We motioned for her to bring it, then we see her organizing silverware at an empty table. Really it almost became comical and we wondered if there was a Czech cultural rule we were missing on. On the table next to us (there were 2 couples), three of them were served their food and it took 20 minutes for the fourth person to get his food while the others waited for him before starting.

I've noticed over the last few days here in Prague that efficient friendly waitstaff is not exactly the norm, but this was poor even by Czech standards.

Verdict: If you're willing to put up with slow, strange service, then yes, go here for great GF food.
Verdict for Na Zlate: please get more waitstaff and train them to be attentive to customers. You will quickly move up to become a top Prague restaurant if you do.
