“Great location, amazing staff”
Reviewed June 26, 2012

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Klarov in early June. We were in Prague to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday - the hotel ensured there were Czech chocolates and champagne upon our arrival.

Our luggage didn't arrive with us. Jan at Reception immediately offered to help by calling the airlines. I'm convinced he's the reason why our luggage was in our room within 24hrs (vs. the estimated 3 days we were told). He was amazing! Petr was also helpful - he recommended a local restaurant one evening; we had the best meal of our trip (Grosseto Marina).

The hotel is in a great location in Mala Strana. We were in room 401 - it was spacious (high ceilings), with an armoire that held all our belongings. It had a fantastic view of Prague Castle (beautiful lit up at night), and the Charles Bridge and Vltava River on the left (if you stuck your head out the window a bit). The Mánes Bridge is right around the corner - a 5-min walk to the Rudolfinum and Josefov. The area is peaceful and quiet at night.

The Malostranská metro station is directly across from the hotel (separated by a small park) - so convenient. We got around Prague via the metro and trams. There's a stop for Tram 22 in front - it took us to Petřín Hill to the south and to Prague Castle to the north.

Breakfast was included, and there was a surprising variety of hot and cold items - very enjoyable. Breakfast started at 7:30am - we wished it was earlier so we could begin exploring the city sooner; but apparently, you can arrange breakfast to go.

A wonderful hotel overall!

This is a lovely hotel. Well appointed. A very nice breakfast. Good location - only 5/10 minutes walk to the main sight-seeing areas.
The staff - extremely pleasant and helpful.
Our room was exceptional and the view - the castle on one side, the river and Charles bridge to the other, you couldn't ask for more. Our room was facing the square and therefore with the windows open, it could be a bit noisy from the traffic on the cobblestone road, but the view more than made up for this. After all this is a city. I would imagine the rooms at the back are quieter and the view at the back of the hotel is quite lovely, over the gardens, if not as impressive as the front.

Very highly recommended.

We enjoyed 2 nights with splendid views of Prague, and the convenience of the tram on our doorstep - location of Hotel Klarov is fantastic. The hotel staff were very helpful and breakfast was great. I will be recommending this hotel to anyone needing a bed in Prague.

Room Tip: Rooms on the upper floors enjoy a great view - bridges to the left and castle to the right - and are...

We stayed 4 nights in this hotel. Location is great, very close to absolutely everything. The rooms are what they offer: comfortable, clean, very big and very beautiful. The hotel doesn't have too many rooms, which is great because they can offer a better service to fewer people. When we were leaving, as we had our flight at night, they let us stay in the room (no noon checkout) with no extra charge. People were always very kind to help us. If looking for something very romantic, nice and with an excellent price, look no more, this should be your choice

This hotel is in such a great location for discovering Prague. We could see the Palatial Complex, Charles Bridge, the river and loads more from our window on the 4th floor. The tram stop and metro are about 50m from the front door, fantastic, and none of the tourist locations are too far to walk to anyway. The comfortable bed was 2 wide single beds pushed together, each with its own duvet and we found this great (and we are really fussy about bed comfort). The room was a nice size for a 3 day stay and pleasant to be in. The breakfast is great once you figure out what is actually on offer and is a little different for UK tastes, but not a problem. Staff on reception are very helpful and friendly. I would be happy to stay here again.

Room Tip: Although the rooms to the front with the best views also look out onto the main road (possibly noisy...

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Just like all the hotels in the Asten Hotels group, Boutique Hotel Klarov presented an exceptional architectural challenge. Since our takeover of the hotel in 2014, we ask ourselves every single day - how can we surprise you, our dear guests, during your stay and make it a memorable experience? We renovated all of our rooms in 2015, taking inspiration from the stories of the world's most famous musicians who have given concerts in Prague since 1989. Now you can meet superstars like Rolling Stones or Joan Baez, not in person of course, but as motifs. In our Club Lounge and the hotel's private garden you can experience the charm of French countryside right in the center of a global capitol. Our prime location in the center puts all the attractions within walking distance. We do our job with love and passion so that we can meet all your expectations and make you want to stay.
