My wife and I have just come back from a fantastic meal at Cafe Colore. We stumbled across the cafe/restaurant on the way back from a long guided tour of the castle and cathedral, and decided to book for this evening. We were not disappointed. The food was excellent and the waiters were friendly and efficient. For starters we had chestnut soup with pistachio cream, which my wife said was delicious, and duck pate with figs, which again was excellent. For mains I had tenderloin of pork in a mushroom sauce. They very obligingly replaced the gnocchi with the truffle fries dusted with Parmesan, and the meal was superb. My wife had chicken breast wrapped in Parma ham and stuffed with mozzarella and sun-dried tomatoes, which she also thoroughly enjoyed. The whole meal, including two beers and two proseccos, came to just over £30. We enjoyed it so much we are planning to go back tomorrow before we have to leave for the airport.
