“Perfect location”
Reviewed November 11, 2013

We stayed 4 persons at Leon d´Oro in Prague for 3 nights. The room was more like an apartment, with a small kitchen. The room was nice and clean and the bathroom was fine. The breakfast was OK. The hotel has a perfect location in Prague. Just 2 minutes walk to the old Town Square and the astronomical clock. It´s a 3 minutes walk to metro. Friendly and helpful staff.

My husband and I have just now returned from our 5 days trip to Prague. If you are thinking of booking this hotel, do it now! We booked through Trivago.com and paid £39.00 for the room per night including breakfast.

The location of this hotel could not have been better...simply perfection! Everything was within walking distance. The Old Town Square was literally a 2 min walk. There is always so much going on in Old Sq, we were lucky to be so close! Theres many little reastaurants and bars nearby including Coyotes, Hard Rock Cafe and Hooters (see separate reviews for each of these). There is also an Ice Bar nearby but we didn't try this.

Whilst there we walked to the Charles Bridge (5-10 mins walk) and the castle (around 25 mins walk). Both sights worth seeing!

The hotel was clean. Breakfast was plentiful (mini sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, cheeses, toast, cold meat, cake, juice, etc). Service was fab and staff speak good English and even provide a map upon arrival. We also booked our taxi back to the airport with them as it was very reasonable.

The room had everything we needed and more. I was worried it would be cold in the rooms due to visiting in November but it was toasty warm!

Prague is the most magical place, I'm sad to be home! We cannot wait to return and will definately be booking this hotel again!

We stayed at Leon d´Oro in Prague for 3 nights. We had a room that was more like an apartment, with a kitchenette, that we didn´t use (or want). The room, however, was clean and the bathroom was quite newly renovated. We had a complimentary breakfast, which was OK. The hotel has a perfect location in Prague! Just 2 minutes walk to the old Town Square and the astronomical clock. It´s a 3 minutes walk to the Václavské náměstí, center of the "New" town. Couldn´t be better! We didn´t have to use the metro or the trams to get around in central Prague, the hotel has walking distance to all major tourist attractions.

This hotel was very easy to locate from the airport (we took the shuttle bus to the metro stop Dejvicka on the green line and took that to Mustek stop-- the hotel is just a very short walk away from St Wenceslas Square). The staff was incredibly accommodating and helpful. They were able to guide us to the sites we wanted to see and suggest great local restaurants (patiently and in excellent English haha). It is centrally located to an awesome outdoor market full of trinkets and fresh produce, all the usual tourist souvenir shops, and a short walk to Old Town Square and St Charles Bridge. The room was perfectly adequate for our needs, and our budget! We were a party of four all requesting separate beds, and that was no issue. Very clean and the windows over the street opened to let in the breeze (and the view of the church across). Breakfast was fruit, eggs, sausages, breads, sliced meats and various coffee and juice options. They provide luggage storage and the wifi is dependable and free! I would definitely book again! Very very pleased!

This hotel is located in a really good area barely even a stroll to Old Town Square.
The staff were all really helpful in offering things to do and organizing our tours.
The rooms were only okay - nothing wrong with them but nothing overly significant.
Hotel wifi was included and worked very well.

I spent two nights at the Residence Leon d'Oro. It's located in the heart of Old Town, just a couple minutes walk to Old Town Square. I arrived at the main train station and decided to walk to my hotel. It's an easy walk, but the cobblestone streets are difficult to manage with a rolling suitcase.
The room was huge, like an efficiency apartment, with kitchenette, dining table and chairs and a sofa, really more space than I needed and clean and quiet. No car traffic allowed on the street in front of the hotel, so it's very quiet. The bed was comfortable, the pillows adequate.
Breakfast is included with room and provided a nice variety of hot and cold choices.
Staff was very helpful with great suggestions for nearby restaurants.
I would definitely stay here again.
If you take a Taxi from the hotel to the train station, be sure to leave at least 30 minutes to get there. Traffic in the city is always bad and the route from the hotel to the station is not an easy one.
