I do not understand the many positive reviews of this hotel. I advise staying far, far away, primarily due to staff dishonesty.

We reserved the most expensive room category, the Maisonette. From their website: "Our Maisonettes are 35 m2 over two floors and feature beautiful river views." On checking in, we were shown to a room on the ground floor. It was not two stories. It had no views at all - the only windows overlooked the interior light well of the building, which contained the breakfast room. (I'll attach a picture.) Literally, breakfast tables were right outside the windows. Absolutely no privacy, light or views. If they were using this room to offer to upgrade guests from lower categories, that might be ok. But given the disparity with what was promised for our rate, it was completely unacceptable.

There were no other suite rooms available for our stay, so they moved us to a small deluxe room on the 1st (i.e., in the US, 2nd) floor front. No river views, no living room, street noise and cigarette smoke from staff members smoking on the front stoop. Dark, because it faced north. It did have nice high ceilings, though. But they only "discounted" our rate by EUR 30 per night, and no one seemed to have any understanding as to why any of this was a problem.

The second major service problem was with the hotel laundry. They ruined three new tems of clothing so badly they had to be thrown out (two white items turned red, one shirt left with a hole in it), only one of which I noticed at the time. They didn't charge us for cleaning the item we noticed but wouldn't do anything further, stating that "of course the laundry is separate and we cannot be responsible."

Aside from that (some pretty big asides), it was just ok. The hotel itself was kind of like a poorly-designed, small W hotel - the design was pretty enough to look at on the surface, but not well thought out. No mirror in the bedroom. No electrical outlets by the bedside to leave iPhones plugged in when going to sleep (kind of strange for a supposedly Apple-friendly hotel). The shower was in a tub mounted high off the floor, with a sloped floor and no nonskid surface, making it very easy to slip. Add to that a small, thin, moveable partial glass partition from the rest of the bathroom - it was very dangerous, as well as leaving the floor soaked after every shower. The extra room in the "deluxe" category wasn't around the bed (which filled almost the entire bedroom space), it was in the entry area outside of some rather useless built in closets. They advertised free WiFi, but the signal in our room was extremely weak.

The location was decent, easy walking to trams and the old town. But I would never go back.

After staying in various other hotels in Prague, I was pleasantly surprised with the moods hotel. The location is on a quiet side street 5 minutes walk from Náměstí Republiky (Line B) and Florenc (Lines B and C) metro stops. The reception area is furnished in a modern way and the staff there are extremely helpful, both with the checkin/checkout process as well as giving recommendations for restaurants and sightseeing. The airconditioned rooms are a good size and with Hästens beds, you're pretty much guaranteed of a comfortable sleep. Another great feature is the fact that they have got a built in USB port (for charging your iDevice) HDMI ports, LAN connectors as well as component inputs all of which connect to the LCD TV in the room, it's a relatively small thing, but makes a massive difference. The buffet style breakfast was also really good with a selection of hot and cold foods. From now on I will be staying here everytime I come to Prague!

It is a new hotel in Praha. Original decoration, including people known phrases, which makes it more interesting.
Everithing is correct, but the best: STAFF. Professional and friendly.
We hope to return to Praha again, and for sure to the MOODs Boutique hotel.
Thanks a lot

Staff were very helpful and couldn't do enough for us from the moment we arrived.
We took the deluxe room which was very spacious and comfortable. The bed was unbelievable and one of the best I've slept on. One complaint would be that I couldn't shower without soaking the bathroom but it was only a small issue and could be easily resolved with a few extra towels.
Hotel loacted on the edge of the Old Town and a brisk 15min. walk from the Astronomical Clock.
The best part of the hotel would be the service and the worst would be slightly badly designed bathroom and the lack of a mirror in the bedroom.
Would be happy to return to this hotel on my next visit to Prague.
