Description: You will find our restaurant in the very heart of Prague, in the place which inspired the famous romantic poet R.M. Rilke. The restaurant provides a calm oasis of gastronomical experience, worth discovering, in the busy, pulsing centre of the town. We build upon the very best of Czech gastronomical tradition. Our cuisine isn't based on extravagancies, but on a straight approach to Czech meals, the freshest local ingredients and humility to the culinary profession. The best proof is the satisfaction of our customers.

“Excellent ambience, service, & typical Czech food”
Reviewed December 5, 2013 via mobile

After a hike and getting turned around several times, found the R.M. Rilke and were not disappointed. Loved the atmosphere and decor, and server was superb and very helpful. He seemed to be the only server taking care of many tables.
We recommend the mushroom soup for a starter. Very tasty. Also had the chicken/veggie/noodle soup which was good, but liked mushroom better.
For entrees had the roast duck with various dumplings, and delicious house made red cabbage kraut. Also had the goulash, also with dumplings and horseradish. Servings were so generous, as same for soup, that we had no room for dessert.
Highly recommend this for a taste for authenic Czech food, and super atmosphere. Would definitely return.

“Great traditional Czech restaurant”
Reviewed November 30, 2013

Service was very good. Traditional looking serving great food. I'd recommend the crispy duck, tasty and lots of meat!

Not to cheap compared to some places but still good value .

“Bon resto, bon service, je recommande”
Reviewed November 24, 2013

Mot to expensive, but not to cheap, around 10-15€ the main dish.
But it is worth it, the Goulash was excellent, and the potatoes galette served with it were exquisit (was I to got back there, I would try the dish potatoe-based...). The service was good, though I went in the middle of the afternoon, so there were not many people to take care of...
The atmosphere of the place was also nice, lots of decoration, nice music...

“overrated”
Reviewed November 24, 2013

We visited this place encouraged by very positive reviews on tripadvisor and were quite disappointed with the food. I ordered “Crispy duck roasted in stoneware pan according to our grandmothers´ recipe”. The food was served after a very short time, 5 min tops – a bit suspicious for an almost empty restaurant with such a wide menu. Funny – is it a part of their grandmothers´ recipe to heat the duck in a microwave before serving? ;) The duck was not crispy at all, but dry and chewy.
The other thing that I didn't like was serving tap beer in small glasses only - it somehow doesn't feel Czech at all ;)
The dessert was ok and service polite, but I guess it's not enough to make your dinner in Prague memorable.
