Really nice atmosphere, bar was so busy but bartender was talented and prices are really reasonable. For this type of nice located club we were expected more expencive prices. So should try this club if you are in prague.

I was celebrating my bachelors degree with my boyfriend and my mum in here. The drinks were nice, the interior Is amazing, the atmosphere And the music was lovely. The only problem we had was a short, skinny, Slovakian brunette who was trying to scam my boyfriend ( who Is a foreigner) to pay for a shisha which he had already payed for. She was also rude And trying to kick us out from our seats, where wed been already sitting for a couple of hours and which hadnt been prebooked... She was rude to people, pushing the customers on the dance floor aggresively. The moment i talked to her in Czech She got Lost. Dont forget to keep your bills with you. Beware of that scammer.
I arrived at 1 pm and was already full of people. 2 floors: first floor a big bar and a big dance floor, second floor another bar and tables. Very elegant and nice people, good cocktails and low prices as in all prague. Just too long to have a drink. Bartenders very slow. Anyway one of the best places in prague for an evening out.
Hopeless bar men. Every single one of the three that attended us last night. What would you think of a wine bar in France, that serves British wine and no French. The same as a Prague bar which has no Czech beer.
We were there for the Internations event, where the entrance included a glass of prosecco. This normally costs 95 kc, whereas a small bottle of Stella Artois (there was NO DRAFT) 90 kc. I asked if I could take a beer instead. I got a thoroughly Czech waiter answer with a thoroughly Czech waiter look. "No. "Full stop.
The bottle must have stood in the sun for a week because it tasted terrible (nothing against Stella in principle).
For the next beer I asked if they had something else. "Yes." What? "Blue moon." I admitted my ignorance and asked what kind of beer it was. "Czech". OK, I'll take it. What came was a Belgian WHEAT ale. As near to Czech lager as coffee is to tea.
So I gave it back and for Corona. The waiter insisted that I must pay for the Blue Moon as well. When I refused, because it was not what was offered, he brought the manager at me.......
I stuck to my guns, drank the corona and went to a different bar to get a decent beer.
The place looks good and interesting on the photos, but in fact it is a dismal looking place with dismal looking and incompetent waiters
Never again
The only interesting aspect was the toilet decoration - see pics
Nice inside
And Nice cocktails, but was very uncomfortable when I got laughed at by two bar tenders when I didn’t leave a tip, at the end of the day not everyone one has money, and it’s funny how we got begged off the street to come in, get new staff.
We were recommended to visit the Moonclub by a waiter at the Marina Restaurant (excellent by the way). We were welcomed into the venue with complimentary fizz (great start) and the music throughout our visit was good modern dance music which had our wives up dancing for quite a while.
The entertainment also included dancers up on the bar and the handing out of more complimentary fizz during the night!
As a nightclub/late bar the Moonbar is a great venue however would I go back again.... not sure. One of my pet hates in life is waiting ages at a bar and to be bypassed when in reality it was my turn to be served. This happened a couple of times. One visit to the bar took 15mins to be served.
I drink Jack Daniels/coke and this cost around £6.50 and beer was circa £3.50 which isn't too bad compared to UK bar prices but on the more expensive end in Prague (but then again it was a nightclub and we were given free prosecco with too).
All in all a good club other than the bar experience.
