My husband and I spent this last weekend at the Red and Blue Design Hotel. We had a wonderful experience! This was our first time to Prague and I was not sure what to expect. The staff was very professional and welcoming. The hotel itself is not downtown or in the old town, however, the is a tram less than .2 miles away. You can buy tram tickets at the front desk of the hotel. It is not a very long walk to the old town. My husband and I walked to the old town from the hotel. The breakfast was very good as well. A traditional European breakfast. I have read some complaints about the breakfast but Americans need to understand that it is in EUROPE! There aren't going to be pancakes and waffles. The breakfast has eggs, coffee, fruit, a wide variety of breads and pastries, eggs, a large meat selection, etc. The hotel is very clean and quiet. We stayed in one of the red rooms. It was smaller, but it was just fine for my husband and I. There is also a nice park across the street. There is also a great restaurant close by. Whenever my husband and I go back to Prague, we will definitely stay there again! Great, Great, Great!

I really liked the location - it's not middle of the city, but pretty close to Andel district and a short walk away from a subway station. The road outside had very little traffic and opposite from the hotel is a big park. The a/c was quiet and the bed was huge. The only disappointment was the breakfast restaurant - tea cups were micro-sized so you had to walk to the counter many times for refills.

We booked this hotel in conjunction with a flight with Easyjet. The price was very reasonable, and the reviews seemed very positive. Turns out that the reviews were spot -on. We stayed here for 3 nights and breakfast was very good, bed very comfortable, room beutifully designed, modern and spotlessly clean. The location was fine - just a 2 minute walk from the nearest tram stop. We paid the equivalent of 10Euros for an unlimited travel pass for 3 days around the city. This was brilliant and included the funicular railway to the top of Petrin Hill just down the road.

Service from the staff was outstanding throughout and would highly recommend this hotel to anybody with a touch of taste, a dose of class and an appreciation of good service. Really was just about perfect.

Room Tip: 200 metres down the hill there's a range of good food places - from the classy Artisan to great everyday food in several other places. All good.

Highly recommended! The overall hotel has a nice clean, modern feel. Room was nicely decorated, especially the contemporary bath & shower with double sink. The room had all the closet space and amenities we needed. The extra space heater was handy for warming the toes after a cold day walking around the city. We had a triple -- not too big, but spacious enough for our needs. Nice to have wi-fi included, too.

Breakfast was included and selection was great. The breakfast room was bright and sunny, too. We arranged airport transfers through the hotel and these went very smoothly -- I definitely recommend this option.

The entire hotel staff was warm and accommodating. They were always willing to give tips, directions, instructions, etc. The best suggestion was Artisan restaurant where we had an awesome dinner one night.

The hotel location is nice and quiet. It's a little bit of a walk to main attractions. After one day walking in the cold weather (with less than optimal footwear) we opted to buy a daily tram pass which was available from the nearby station and that worked out well. It's really not that far, and in the spring the walk would be lovely.

The price was very reasonable and overall a good value. I definitely recommend the Red & Blue if you are visiting Prague.

Recently stayed at the Red & Blue Design hotel for a couple of nights whilst visiting Prague for the first time! Have to say it is a really nice hotel, modern but sympathetically done. We stayed in a blue Superior room and it was worth the little extra in cost as the size of the room was just superb. Bed was really comfortable and bathroom was huge with bath, shower and 2 sinks. Breakfast was nice, with lots of choice and filled us up for a day of sightseeing. We ordered room service on the first night as we were late arriving, limited choice however it is ordered in, anyway our pizza was really yummy. We also used the hotel taxi service booking airport pick-up in advance which was really smooth and cost around £20. We were planning alternative arrangements on the journey home however with the weather really cold we ended up booking it again as this worked really well again and would definitely recommend booking.
Only negative is the hotel is a 10 minute walk from the centre which was only an issue due to the weather and how cold it was and that we didn't feel could walk to town for our evening meal, I’m sure during the warmer months though the location isn't a problem at all and it would be very enjoyable walk.
