The location is great. Close to the metro/bus, old town, Palladium and some nice restaurants. The hotel was very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. A few things to note: 1) you cannot control the AC in your room. We were there for 5 nights in July and you either slept with the AC on or completely off. Secondly, not enough outlets in the room to charge ipads, smartphones, cameras etc (3 people in the room). Thirdly there is only FREE wifi down in the main lobby. You must pay to get wifi in the rooms. The servers greeting you at breakfast were very friendly and a great way to start your day.Breakfast was average.

Stayed from July 4th for 4 nights. We stayed in room 105. From checking in to checking out everything was just what we needed from our hotel. Walking distance to main attractions. Friendly and helpful staff. Large selection on offer at breakfast. House keeping was good abielt a little early. The only bad point was the boat trip from the pamphlet we were given at reception. 8B if I remember rightly was a little poor. I would advise to walk down the river and choose the boat trip you want as we felt we had stepped back 50 years. That said I would highly recommend this hotel. Well done GMP.

The location of the the Grand Majestic Plaza was really good - close to main metro/subway stop and can easily walk to a number of the tourist attractions like the Municipal Hall or major shopping street. It was reasonably priced for our stay in late May. The service was excellent, ranging from bringing up a bath mat to put down in the tub, to providing us with directions to some tourist attraction, to giving us a nice piece of chocolate when we were retrieving our luggage from storage to head to the airport.

The hotel was well finished, elegant and clean throughout. There is a jeweler in the lobby that sells some really nice garnet (a Czech export) and amber jewellery pieces at decent prices. The temptation was great, especially as we had to pass by his 'shop' on the way to the lift.

As we enjoyed our stay its hard to criticize. but there were a few little things that keep us from giving GMP 5 stars. For one thing, there is a thermostat in the room giving you the impression that you can create your own comfortable 'climate'. However, that is an illusion. Though it was very late May when we went, i was told that the air-conditioning does not work because it was deemed too cold still so only the heat was on. Second, we would like to see a few more power outlets (all the available power sockets are located on the one wall by the desk) as most have at least 1 phone and camera each which needs to be charged over night. Third, the breakfast had good variety but the plates and bowls were very small which resulted in multiple trips to the buffet area to feel sufficiently full for the day ahead.

Overall we would probably stay hear again.

Room Tip: We had a room on the 4th floor towards the end of the hall...that seemed to be quieter..which was ni...

Very good location in the old town centre. Within easy walking distance to the river & wonderful Charles bridge. Close to a major shopping mall. Good eateries nearby. We had a 1bedroom apartment which was fabulous with a large bathroom & opening doors to small balcony.Tea & coffee making was available. The staff were extremely helpful with any requests regarding taxis, sights & tours.
We would certainly stay here again.

Stayed here in March with my friend on holiday. We mainly did shopping and dining, so this is the best possible place for that. A big shopping center 300m away from the hotel. Restaurants about 15 minutes walk from here. A street full of pubs 10 minutes walk. About 1km from the most important sights (square etc). A quiet street, no noices from outside. A beauty salon next door, had a good pedicure in there (about 30€). Booked a limousine from the hotel to pick us up from the airport. A very polite gentleman was waiting for us with a sign as agreed. Also brought us back when flew back. Price about 25€ (check web pages). An ok breakfast, nothing special but ok. Rooms ok. Nothing posh but ok for this kind of trips. Cleanliness good. Not the most beautiful design in the rooms but suited us well. Helpfull staff. Coped with English.

Room Tip: Ask for non smoking room!

Stayed in the hotel for six nights and loved each one of them. The staff is very nice and helpful. The location is fantastic, just about 10 minutes walk for the old town square and every other major attraction. Conveniently located near the Palladium shopping center and the Namestiky Republiky metro station (just a couple minutes walk), though it was shut down during most of our time in Prague because of the floods.

The room was clean and comfortable, nicely decorated with a comfortable bed. The bathroom lacked storage area a bit - just on shelf above the toilet and a small one at the sink.

Not having free WiFi in the rooms is a drawback, but in-room wired access is free, so you can share through your laptop.

Overall it's a very nice hotel and we would definitely consider staying there again.

My daughter and I stayed here for three nights via an excellent value deal through Last Minute. The hotel was very clean and had all the facilities you would expect. The staff were friendly and helpful, wifi available in public areas, breakfast plentiful lots of variety to suit all tastes. The hotel was excellently located only a 10 minute walk from old town square and about 5 minutes from the Palladium
Shopping mall. The hotel is conveniently located and is tucked away from the noise and business of main tourist areas. We had a lovely stay, despite unseasonally cool and wet weather, and I hope to return to this beautiful city and would certainly stay in this hotel again.
