“A Very Pleasant Place, A Very Pleasant Dinner”
Reviewed October 11, 2013

This was probably the best dinner we had in Prague. Restaurant „U Mlynare“ in Nerudova street, right on your way to Prague Castle (or back), is nothing particularly fancy but it is a nice and comfortable place with very good food, pleasant atmosphere, decent prices, no hidden costs and no extra charges, and the best „Grandma soup“ in bread bowl - which is of course one of the great Czech specialties - we have tried so far. All in all, it is a very good choice for dinner in Mala Strana, or indeed in the whole Prague. Recommended!

The Trdelnir is really delicious! You shoud have a try and maybe have a cuo of hot chocolate or tea and take a rest in the castle area. Btw, there is a small outdoor garden in the house, surprise!

“Good restaurant”
Reviewed September 24, 2013

The service was prompt and friendly. The food was good and came in large portions. I liked the goulash, served in a bread bowl. However, the roast beef wasn't as tender as could be.

The place is large and spacious, decorated with a harvest theme, but there's no view to speak off as the eating area is deep within a buiding.

The prices are reasonable but there is a cheaper (and yummier) alternative in the area - malostranská beseda.

“Great for those with an appetite!”
Reviewed September 11, 2013

We visited this restaurant 3 times as It was only a couple of minutes from our hotel. The beer is good and probably the cheapest I found during our time in Prague. The food is traditional, well cooked and seemed to appeal to everybodys taste, appetite and budget. We had the millers plate which after a starter is near impossible to finish, so sharing a starter isn't a bad idea. The staff are helpful and made the effort to make sure we were happy. Definitely worth a visit :0)
